I have two rigs that I believe need updating. One has a 4200x2 and the other a 4000x2. I know a lot of you have more than one rig and so I am wondering if anybody has a high end AM2 dual core (any with 2mb cache) in an old rig that they would be willing to trade for my 4200x2 or 4000x2 + cash. Something like:

my 4200x2 + £20 for a 5600x2ish
my 4000x2 +£23 for a 5600x2ish

I'm not sure if this pricing is fair as i'm not really up to date with the going rate of AM2 processors.

Reason I want to upgrade is that I have a truely awful motherboard for overclocking, and I feel that my 8800gts 320mb is being bottlenecked by the processor.

Fancy a 6000 x2 for the 4200 x2 plus, say, £27 inc p&p? I have no cooler/ retail box for it and don't need your stock cooler.

Yeah that sounds great. How about £25inc with RMSD? Need it quite quickly. BTW what's the Wattage rating for it?

EDIT: Just to ask why are you selling it seeing as you have a 5000BE.

It's the 125W I believe, just got it from the states from a guy on OCN but I don't really need that sort of power for a HTPC so I'll let someone who needs to relieve their CPU bottleneck have it instead! The 5000 x2 is lapped beautifully so I'll be hangin onto it for some time I think, runs about body temperature under full load so I can hav a quiet PC beside me at all times :D

My thermaltake golden orb 2 should be able to cool that, maybe if it is a little hot. On the support page it says it can support amd athlon x2 and pentium d (they're the hottest, most power hungry processors in the world right?)
