Normally, uninstalling drivers is easy, not with this laptop. I need to reinstall the drivers for the WLAN, but everytime i try to do it, it tells me it might be a needed boot device. why, and how the hell do i tell it isn't?

If you want to install another driver just manually select the INF to install. (device manager, update driver, manually select)

If you don't want another driver, why not just keep the driver installed and disable the device instead?

Ok, can not do it in safe mode, still tells me to piss off. Also, whenever i direct it to the right driver update, it still refuses to believe it is the right one, which irritates me fiercely. The reason I can't keep the current one is because it tells me:

Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

With a yellow exclamation mark on it. Gosh this is annoying.

For the record, it's an:

Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adaptor.

Any help is welcome.
