I have unlocked my ati x850 pro. Now what i want to ask is whether this graphic card after unlocking becomes the equivalent of x800 xt or not. Because the specifications become exactly the same.

it would be an x850xt if you have the 16 pipes open and are running it at the xt speeds.

Congrats on unlocking your X850Pro! You can find out what your card is by using ATI Tool, or Catalyst Control Center. It all depends on whitch Bios you flashed with.

I had X800XT PE and now I have X850XT PT. And can say that at equal clocks in some application the X800 was better than X850.

From the other hand X850 (R481) is just a revision of R420 GPU and nothing significant is changed.

Once unlocked to 16 pipes find your max. core/memory using ATITool. If your card can handle the following speeeds adjust your clocks equal to X850XT (520/540Mhz) or equal to X800XT or PE (500/500 or 520/560Mhz). Then you will have performance equal or better/lower deppending on the clocks. If you are talking about X850PRO 16 pipe BIOS, probably you have single slot cooler. If you want X800XT PE or X850XT PE performance then you have to change the cooling and here I will recommend ATI Silencer 5 rev.2 which could be found for about 15-20USD. It will allow you higher clocks or at minimum stable work at X850XT speeds and will avoid the fan problem if X850XT or XT PE BIOS is flashed.
