I'm leaving for college the day after tomorrow and need to bring a bunch of data with me so I have my music, ect when I buy a laptop (very soon), since I won't be coming home for a while. So I just bought a 2.5 inch Seagate Momentus 200 GB harddrive off newegg. The problem is, I can't get it to work.
I put it in my dekstop, as I have with all my other drives in the past, tried all jumper combinations... removed the jumper, ect, but no luck at all.
I need to format it, but it isn't coming up in disk management, nor is it showing up when i put it in my mom laptop with a unbuntu live CD (for those who don't know, its running linux off a CD).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I REALLY need to get this working by tonight or tomorrow morning >.<

By the way, it isn't even detected in the BIOS, but does heat up when plugged in.
