usb ethernet for bd live and xbox live via pc

i currently use a home plug setup so use my house wireing to connect to my router via ethernet. now i want to connect my blu ray player and xbox the same way! would the easiest way be to get one of these in the link or is there some way to split the connection before it gets to my pc?

You should be able to buy a 4/5 port ethernet switch and connect it directly to the output of your homeplug, and then connect your XBox and blue ray via ethernet to the switch.

thanks i wasnt sure if a switch would work, only because i wasnt sure if my router that is connected via homeplug would be able to give each connection of the switch a ip address? or would it do some thing like

router 192.168.0.1 then homeplug(switch) would be 192.168.0.2 then the swtich would give each device a gateway to its ip? or am i reading into it to much and loosing the plot?

also would one of these do? i only have a 80mb home plug anyway so im thinking this should be able to handle it? also would i be able to use a spare router i have a netgear dg834gt as a switch?
