E: its fine as long as sneeky says its ok. Its no different to a quote, in having his name there.

On the matter of it being about an infraction, those are supposed to remain private... but thats aimed at moderators telling people about it, and really has nothing to do with a person wanting to advertise they got one.

Theres no real precedent there for me to have an opinion - unless sneeky or an admin says otherwise, i guess its ok?

There ya go mussels, you nailed it right on the head... The second I "read" a response from a W1z or a Super-Mod saying I need to take it down, I will.. I look at it from a "Moderators are here for out-front rule violations. Super Mods are here for "grey area" rule violations. Admin is here to be King, what he says goes."

In a normal situation i would suggest following what the moderator has said - we CAN give you infractions and ban you for arguing with a moderator, even if there is no precedent on the signature.

The correct path, would have been to remove it, then make a thread in comments 'n feedback and ask about it, or PM an admin/super mod and ask for permission to put it back.

I have had to deal with that kind of situation before. That occasion resulted in a ban for "talking about it in public". It was on a different forum, but I was not going to make the same mistake twice. Even though in the end I won my case, I remained banned because I was "forgotten".
Anyway... I was respectful to both moderators. I never called names, or mad big fuss about it. As I said before- if W1z, any super mod or sneeky has an issue with it... I will take it down.

Ok, so number 1, your infraction is not disputed. 2: the infraction is active, and no response from senior moderators means that they gave it a second look and found no changes necessary. 3: Nobody needs to look at your infractions, don't treat them like trophies. More infractions in the sig space, the bigger the idiot. Mislabeling them as "disputed" isn't going to make it look any better. 4: erocker has the authority to ask you to change your signature, whether or not sneekypeet, a senior moderator, or W1zzard is OK with it. To you, erocker is the law. Set precedents by being a good member, not by being a pseudo-messiah.
