Right, I installed Vista Ultimate 64bit to try DX10 on another partition (dual boot). Everything is fine, ran GTR2 and some other stuff that was important yesterday, worked fine. I have a problem with my wireless card not working properly (D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN) but that's not the case now.
I installed Crysis today to see how it runs under DX10 and 64 bit...Well to tell you, DX10 uses loads less memory. But, when I switch to 64-Bit mode no matter of what dx version, it just stutters on the first run and continues doing that a little during the second loop aswell. Is this a Crysis related problem or something else? In XP it runs smooth as silk.
I am hopefully gonna try some other games as well later on - Stalker Clear Sky maybe and see what's what if my wireless works - it pi$$es me off...
