Well, i've tried Mechwarrior Online and it sucks. Badly.

Best mech games are still Mechwarrior 2 and Mechwarrior 3 and Starsiege (Earthsiege 3).

MW2 in Pentium Edition with VGA software graphics that still give me the chills and I don't even want it to run in 3D accelerated form. Because that will ruin the gritty feel of it.

Mechwarior 3 because of the amazing mouse control and how weapons feel (especially those machine guns and chainguns)

And Starsiege because of interesting weapons that have a range delay and you have to rely on on-board prediction system. And i totally loved to upgrade shields, reactors and weapons because they visualized everything with amazing graphics. Like armor composite was displayed in molecular structure, reators with blue glow, sensors, on-board computers etc. It was just freakin awesome.

The last good mech game was MechWarrior: Living Legends... Which the makers of MWO got shut down... MWO is pretty horrible. Hopefully this game is decent if it ever comes to be.

Have to try it again, last time i tried it, there was horrible graphics corruption on my Radeon (i think it was still HD6950). It looked like when you fall out of the map in 3D shooters where all ingame elements/objects just get smudged all over the screen.

Mechwarrior 4 Mercs is an awesome game, to this day. GamerRanger has servers available to play on ever since microsoft ditched the ip. Vox is looking really good.

The Demo is live! Remember this is a total VR game. So, unless you own an Oculus Rift DK1 or DK2 then there is no need to download it. I'm going to give it a try tonight when I'm home.
