Want to buy a GigaByte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard!

Hi there!

I want to buy a GigaByte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard! I know this board has reached EOL but i need one to OC my Q9650 as my current mobo asus maximus extreme is holding me back to reach 4ghz due to x38 getting hot!

I am not running water cooling. I only have the corsair h70 as cpu cooler!

I cannot find one on ebay so any help for buying one would be highly appreciated!

It would probably be cheaper to just add better chipset cooling to your board. By using the H70, you no longer have much air flowing around the cpu socket, vregs and chipset.

Grab and Antec Spot Cool, and aim it at the chipset. I bet it cools down quite a bit.

X38 just runs hot and tops out too soon. I'd get a new board before investing more into cooling that thing. Especially since you don't know if that's even the issue, you can assume, but you'd need to cool it better to test that.
