Web-based photo backup?

Hi all, I posted this thread here because I would have thought it's classed as an Internet Technology (?)

I need some guidance on a decent web-based photo album provider thing so I can backup my photos to an online cloud thing. I've just lost about 2,500 photos of my family due to what I suspect to be (a hell of a lot of) bad sectors.

I looked at Picasa, but you only get 1GB of storage. I'm willing to pay $5 for 20GB storage but they won't take PP and I ain't giving my card details to Google!!

I need at least 10GB of storage for all my pics. 20GB would be nice ofr the future, but really I just need something for now.

Anyone tried and tested any of these?
Anyone know of any for free? I know with my requirements I might have to pay so I don't mind paying.

I don't need or want advice on fixing bad sectors - I just need advice on a web-based photo backup service please.

Why not just use one of the stnadard backup services, like Carbonite? Or better yet just buy a second hard drive and keep copies of all the pictures on two different drives?

This, or LiveDrive by MSN or another service that gives you free cloud space.

I'm starting to lean towards a web-based one for the convenience; and so I can access them from whereever.
Carbonite's over £40 a year; that's out of my budget.
I just want to backup my last 5 years worth of pics online as I don't need them on my PC anymore, but I still want them available if you know what I mean.

Had a look for some details on LiveDrive, could only find news posts though. Do you know how much space you get NdMk?
