website wont load with www

Like the title says my website fails to load with WWW in front of it.

WWW.overlordgaming.us doesn't work
Overlodgaming.us does work

I've had an A setup in my DNS settings for www but the issue was still occurring. About 6 hours ago I changed the a to a CNAME to redirect to the link without the WWW. It still doesn't work but that might be something that fixes itself after a few more hours.

My question is why didn't the A I had setup work? What should it be set as?

I use cloudflare so all my DNS settings are done thru them

Is this site hosted on a dedicated server or a shared server? It could be a host header ID issue on the server it is hosted on if the server is hosting multiple sites. If the server is hosting multiple sites on the same server you have to set Host Header binding for each address, one for www.Overlodgaming.us and one for Overlodgaming.us, at least that is the way I've always done it.

It was actually something far simpler than that.. The CMS was set to recognize overlordgaming.us as the home page not www.

I was actually getting pissed about this the other day and thought cloudflare was broken I was adding routes in apache and getting redirect loop errors this fixed it for me thanks.

your browser already knows to put www and hides it. by adding www to it, your are essentially telling it www.www.aaaaaaa.com

Your website is perfectly loading on my system and it also shows WWW. May be you need to check your address bar settings.

You're looking too deep into it I think. If you go to http://www.overlordgaming.us it will 302 you to http://overlordgaming.us. Just saying.
