My sister is buying my Rig off of me (for $250!!! I told her $227, but she said to round to $250)...I need to do some hardcore research and soul searching. I think I want to water cool, though, because I want to try something new.

That stuff is kinda of later, because I get my check on the twelfth of September, so...right now I can only get the basics: CPU, MB, RAM, CD/DVD burner, PSU. I have two thirty-six gig Raptors, so I don't need a HDD. Anyone know a good, quiet, seven-hundred plus watt, modular PSU. I think I want to go modular because I'm always in my case...

You didn't take out a loan to build a computer did you? :shadedshu

You looking for hardcore gaming or just budget pc that plays most games at ~med-high

Only if he needs 1000 watts though. The HX series is all good, but 1k watts seems escessive unless he running 2x280 in SLI

Actually I took the loan out to pay off credit card debit, but it is subsidized, so...

I went to the PSU calculator and put in everything I was thinking about putting in and a bit more and it said a seven-hundred watt PSU, so, I was thinking seven-fifty plus to be safe.

It looks good, but I don't think I need that large of a PSU. Do you need a large PSU for water cooling?
