Decided to give Enshrouded a go.

It's similar to Valheim except you can't save when you want (or I haven't figured it out yet). Also sleeping is creepily looking at your character without any form of progress in time.
I do like the building mechanics but you can't just sit back and relax at your mansion. Also the 'saved' NPC's never shut up.
But it looks much better than Valheim, the combat is okay, you can glide to your fav destination (provided you have enough stamina) and you do magic (if you want to).
So far I give it a 7/10. Better wait till launch.

Got everything reloaded, and dual booting PopOS with 10, was headed back into Starfield to quit screwing around and roll at the main quest, got distracted by Enlisted.... enjoying it pretty well, just wish I knew what I was doing

Stats tell me I quit playing COTW: The Angler for six months. Out of desire to get far enough into the timeline of development it became fun to play through before progressing. A choice that also makes hitting new game viable. With so much relying on repopulation and spawn algorithms it is highly popular to do just this in order to reencounter the world afresh. Advanced knowledge and skills of these COTW games make it entertaining enough to wish the dev would add this function. One that allows keeping your main save file intact while allowing the slate to be wiped clean at will.

COTW: The Angler really is shaping up to be the best fishing game you might never actually get around to fishing much in. Out of need to complete a few easily ignored suggestions to focus on just this (before new map arrives). Let's just say I finally realized how far mountain climbing is beyond the hop and run phase. Highly impressive stuff.

Made a true alpine start up nearly unscalable terrain to reach knife edge ridges for a predawn summit. Ignore the OSD.

Dakar Desert Rally, and do you know what this could have been? Ignition. But it's not, and having to go through a tutorial for a RALLY GAME is infuriating. Just let me get to the campaign and let me race a rally equivalent to the Cooper, ok? But no.

I just started with Mirage and so far I enjoy the game so much more than Valhalla so it's a good purchase

You are genuinely missing something special. Valheim is an acquired taste but man does it taste good. It wont look better now. But its stable these days and you can mod your way out of long grinds and travel limitations should you want to do so.

Yeah the building mechanics are pretty good. However I think combat is below "okay" the AI for the enemies is so bad. You can always kite enemies into rocks, walls or trees where they will just stay stuck endlessly charging at you, while you kill them. Or if you can even get 1ft of elevation above enemy, you are untouchable. It has a lot of potential and I hope they improve it more. Cool concept with the Veil areas.

I swear I've never wanted to be away from TPU. My time on here was nothing but happiness for me. But I have a full time job, I'm going to school to be a pilot (non stop studying), and I have a toddler so yeah.... not much time to do anything. But I'm trying to find time to stick around. It really is nice to see so many of the old members still active. I'd be down to play Enlisted with some folks, given I'm available lol.

Yeah that game has its 'charm' in a way.
I've finished the first game some years ago and maybe its just me but the second half of the game could be quite challenging at times compared to the dumb fun first part.
Yet to play the second, actually I've forgot about it so now you reminded me.

Yesterday I've tried that currently free on Epic Dakar Desert Rally and holy crap that is one stuttery mess of a game, borderline unplayable. 'the moment I saw the UE 4 logo on startup I was worried, like who would use this engine for a fast paced racing game with no pre shader compilation either.. '

I got that Dakar Rally. It does look pretty but the controls take a bit of time to get used to.. It does seem like a full Single player Game though. I also believe they put all the video settings to Epic in that Game by default.

Is it? I didn't notice any major problems...

Those spikes on my frametime bar, yeah those I can feel every time and its not nice in a game like this especially since yea the controls aint the best to begin with.
Tried Full screen/Borderless sync off/on its makes no difference on my end.
Apparently there is a 5 pages long topic about this issue on Steam ever since the launch of the game with all kind of high-end hardware.

Interesting. I turned down some of the more obscure settings and it almost doubled my FPS. I went from 79 to like 150 and it was butter smooth. One thing this Game has is Dune Jumping is fun. The Motorcycle seems to be the most kinetic experience. These Electric vehicles they give us at the start are a little powerful. The Truck seemed to offer a nuanced experience as well. I would try that and just run native to see what the experience is like.

I just went into the Game and my Graphics settings are high, Vsync off and no upscaling. Running borderless at the native resolution.
