My current PC hardware is posted in my signature. I'm thinking of buying a 24" wide screen 2ms LCD display. Native res is 1920 x 1200

I get 35fps minimum with the 460GTX 1GB and 19" Trinitron CRT (1600 x 1200 res) and want to keep or improve fps with the 24" LCD

I have a Crossfire mobo and am willing to install two ATI cards, or one nVidia (480GTX ?)

What card do you recommend ?

Well, it depends on the games you play and the willingness to drop settings like texture details etc.

The 460GTX should run 1900*1200 just fine in most games, and the real hogs would just need to have the settings tweaked a bit.. Don't expect to run Crysis 2 with everything turned to max :)..

You will see a drop if you just change your games from 1600*1200 to 1900*1200 without tweaking anything.

I don't have time to check exact prices, but if you want Nvidia go 560ti..

If I were you I would just get another 460GTX if you aren't satisfied with the performance on the new monitor.
I am a bit worried about that PSU, is 550W enough?

EDIT: I see there is no SLI option, sorry about that. Maybe 2xHD6870.

I think it is fine to play most games about the performace on your screen with the 460GTX. If you want to improve your quality, I suggest to change your power too for another card

going LCD/LED will save you some GPU cycles as they are locked at lower Hz, so maybe your card doesn't sweat with the higher resolution... no so sure, but...

I have a 1900x1200 screen, and my HD 6950 2GB handles it just fine. Crysis 2 had to be tuned down, but don't think that game is representative of most games. It is a not well programmed pig.

Everything else (Deus Ex Human Revolution, Just Cause 2, Mass Effect 2, etc) work just fine.

I had a mutli-card setup once and it is cool. But don't think you need to drive that monitor. One good card like a 6950, 6970, 560 ti, or 570 should do.

Also, I don't know that the 460 can't handle it. I would try it out for a while and then decide if you need a new card.

GTX 570 will do even the 6950 or 6970 also great cards it mostly depends on your taste on drivers.
