Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
If you like overclocking, I hope you bought an AMD card...

That said... Brand A does not clock and better than brand B, C, D, E... its all the luck of the draw.

Way to triple post... I would use the EDIT feature.

EDIT: A 680 LIghtning? Man... bad choice unless you plan on hard modding the thing..I would have bought an ASUS 7970 Direct CU II, MSI 7970 Lightning, or a HIS 7970 Turbo X.

EDIT2: Holy crap you post a lot of threads on the same/similar subject...LOL!

the 7970 will give the same gaming performance as a GTX680 without OCíng, and generally OC's better giving more performance when OCíng, and usually costs less.

1) If you want to overclock then why are you keeping the stock cooler? The main difference between models will be the stock cooler, which you don't have to worry about if you put a water block on.

2) Your name...kind of shows a bias to one solution, no?

3) No location. No indication of what might actually be available in your area. How exactly can we tell you what is best locally?

4) There are plenty of articles out there answering exactly this question. In two minutes I found this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7950-review-benchmark,3207.html

Hi

before you start telling me to research i did and found nothing...

I find this hard to believe; maybe look here -

HD 7950
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/ATI/HD-7950/

GTX 660
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA/GTX-660/

GTX 660 ti
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA/GTX-660-Ti/

With regard to Over Clocking; you will know doubt be aware of the term "Binning" as with all GPU/VPU fabrication some chips OC well and others not so well, as manufacturers have strived to take a foot hold in the market and stand out from the competition, so they have taken to binning the cards and reserving them for their top of the line products within there performance band.

Just get a card with a good quality third party cooler

nb: If you get a chance next time you are logged in go to UserCP; fill in system specs and OS

atb (all the best)

Law-II
