Hello everyone, I have a Connect3D X800 GTO modded to 16 pipes, overclocked to 550/550 (default cooling) from a default 400/490. I looked in ATITool and it says R423. I'm hesitant to trust ATITool in that area though, as my old 9800 Pro had an R360 chip and ATITool reported it as an R350 when it had a 9800 Pro bios. After flashing to a 9800XT bios it then reported the correct R360 chip. The chip type on the 9800 Pro was verified by looking at the actual chip.

Here is a picture of the GPU itself, if anyone knows what this is I'd really appreciate it if you'd let me know:

Thanks.

It's probably an R420 core. ;) The overclock seems about right if that's the case.

Atitool reports what bios tell... so if you flash x850 bios in it Atitool reports r480...
I have same c3d x800 gto with same gpu at yours and i can tell for sure it is r423 (pci-e)
if x800 is printed to pci-e gpu it's r423 (x800 series)
