I currently own a 7950 GX2 graphics card, and I am thinking of either buying two new 9800 GTX cards and running them in SLI, and,OR keeping my 7950 GX2 and trying to buy another GX2 and running them together..Which would gain me more FPS with ALL eye candy turned on,and all settings MAXED out? I haved searched and searched online for an answer, but the 7950 GX2 is so outdated that I can't find reviews or anything else related to it to get enough info to make a decision.. But here is what I currently have invested in my System:::

1. Mozart TX Full Tower Case
2. EVGA 780i Tri-SLI MOBO
3. 3.6 GHZ dual Core intel processor
4. two Western Digital Raptors in RAID 0
5. two GIGS corsair Dominator ram at 5-5-5-12 latency
6. two Samsung DVD-RW Dual Layer writers
7. thermaltake 850i Bigwater water cooling
8. 700 watt power supply (4)12 volt rails

I think that the 9800GX2 SLI drivers aren't really good. But it depends on your budget. Becuase if you get the 9800GTX+ SLI then you are going to be spending $350+ and on SLI for 9800GX2 then you are going to be spending $450+. If that happens you can spend that much on a single 4850X2 or 4870X2 and they would be better.

but i think he really wants sli, so, yes, a coulple of 9800 gtx beats 2 7950 gx2 as quad sli drivers are not very pulished

One 9800GTX beats two 7950GX2s. From what I've seen, dual 7950s caused performance loss in several games. They don't do reviews for the card anymore, though.

Thank you all for your input and you helped me tremendously with my decision.I am going to buy two 9800 GTX cards for my SLI setup..I had been noticing more lately that my 7950GX2 just hasn't been performing very well.I even took it apart and applied Arctic Silver thermal paste to try to cool the chipset on it. It did help some, however it still runs SUPER hot,and my graphics become jerky at high resolutions...To the point the games are unplayable..I have a 22 inch Samsung 226BW with max resolution of 1650x1080,and I cant turn my eye candy all the way up,and that annoys me to no end. Thanks again poeple!! your awesome.
