Yes....but would It get the same score If It was simply added Into the test rig the above scores came from??....I think not....I mean common....I score 7200+ on 3d05...do you see me screaming It compared to those tests.....nope...The testing and comparison of equipment has to come from being tested on the same Platform.....thats what gives an honest Interpretation of performance.

Sheesh. :banghead:
So to make a comment In here I have to build A test platform pc? I was making a simple observation about what I have seen in the real world on a substandered agp rig.so dipsh&$ why did you not say those were from a test rig and than post the specs? did you see me screeming no just saying those specs did not match what I see. Stop being a Rig snob
I would not run an nvidia if I had too! (opps my laptop is a nvidia) nevermind:D

I love how everyone is talking about 3dMark scores. They mean absolutely nadda when it comes to real-world gameplay. Check the average frames per second the 7600GT has in the latest games and it destroys the X800s.

For the price I say go with the 7600GT because for one reason if you don't have the money now, you can SLI it later. In addition, the X800 is nearly 2 generations behind in technology for the same money. How anyone could consider the X800Pro in this case is beyond me.
Wow someone did and made a Thread to find out the diff's and now they can make an educated choice. I believe thats what this forum is for:wtf:

Hmmmm...The whole purpose of my original post was to show the performance differances between the cards In Question(X800Pro/7600GT.....hence the reason I posted the 3d05 scores of the 2 cards at stock speeds with same systems...plus tossed In the X850XT for comparison as well...I wasn't attacking you about your score....I was pointing out that a higher end system would of course give a better score to the same video card running on a lessor system.

Sorry you had to resort to name calling.....and your welcome on the Help In the PM anyway.

water cool it or liquid nitrogen than just clock it like it was a cheap hooker should be able hit 4.9.99 ghz or better. if you want I have a peltier cooler that will freeze it and destroy your mother board used it to bump my 2.8 ht to hit 4.1 2 years ago just remeber that it dont mean stable. and of coarse what can happen if cooling fails it will explod the processore and it will trust me:D

I would pick the x800 (I already have an unlocked GTO)

Why, let's see:

1. The 7600GT has 128 bit memory and the X800 has 256 bit. That means that at the same memory speed, the X800 has DOUBLE the bandwidth...
2. Why would I need SM3.0 and HDR when I can't run it at decent framerates because of the memory bandwith limitation and the fact that I can't have HDR and AA enabled at the same time!?!

To be onest, the X800 is a few years ago so I probably would pay a bit more and get a X1800GTO and unlock it. That would be a far better investment than both the X800 and the 7600GT!

when I came to this board I had a x1600 and after seeing that the x800/850 had such a large fan base it was easy to go find one. but being a gotta have it today I got the 800xt AIW which is slower than the GTO and has a 420 gpu but you know I'm happy how Ut4 runs
my only regreats is paying that much for agp. and the fact I'm so old and cant game like you young people can :D but I can record my fave shows on nights I have to double shift and whith xp I can do it from work. my old server has a nvidia pci card and it does great too but it is used mainly to ftp from and my old mac is great for photo work but the new dual core is replacing it nicely so it go bye bye soon but macs have their place in this world.heck I still run 98se on one of my laptops and linux off cd on 3 of these pigs. face it everything will do what its suposed too x800 and 7600gt are both great cards as far as what you buy them for the games I play require less than what I have soooooo.......
