As i said in the title which would be better? The reason for my question would be that my onboard soundcard is somewhat faulty (whatever i plug in one side doesn't work and i just hear static, the other side works fine though).
Anyway my budget is 40-50€

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that pretty much the only external sound card i can get is the Creative SB Play

Either one should be fine. I use my onboard sound, and internal sound card, a external sound card and USB to a gaming headset. They all work well. (The internal sound card is for my force feed back bass transducers installed on my racing cockpit.)

I have no issues with all of them at any time and tbh if you already have a headset then get the external sound card. I'm sure you will be quite happy with that sound blaster over your finicky onboard sound.

If you don't have a headset then thats an easy one. grab a USB model and be done. Of the two though I think the external card would be my choice in your situation.
