which used gtx/hd min 4gb in sli/cf my psu can handle (660watt platinum)

I have bought 2 monitors so i have 3x1080p and 1x2560x1080, i have a msi gtx 780 gaming oc (1ghz)
and a seasonic platinum 660 psu (max power it can handle before it shots down is more then 800watt)

On youtube it seems that a gtx 780 can handle 5760x1080 with no problems if it's games like dirt 3 and i am 100% shure it can handle bioshock (1) with no problems if it supports that resolution (2560x1080 it supports and get 300+ fps with at gtx 770/780 graphics on max).

What i would like to know is there any minimum 4gb gpu's out there that my psu can handle without struggeling to power them if i bought a second one later cpu is a i7 4790k at 4ghz and 1.00 vcore

I guess it won't be enough with 3gb vram playing new games even if my psu can handle 2x gtx 780

I am not asking about used cards if i could afford a gtx 970/980 atm

Mabye trade my card with a 4-6 gb card might have to pay a little and then buy a second one later or in 6 month if i still have 3-4 monitors buy 2 gtx 970

i wouldn't look at 7970 or r9 290, those are 250-300watt or so cards so pushing right up at max of the psu on those alone if you are looking to CF/SLI. Less you plan to buy a bigger psu, gtx970 is just as fast and uses a lot less power. If you really want AMD card, probably like 280 series would be where would need to go to get draw down enough.

From you specs box 4790k, that is pretty close to 90-100watts there.

Not close to 90-100watt 4.0 ghz and 1.00 vore is below standard values stock is about 4.0 and on all core 4.2ghz and about 1.20 vcore

what about a 4 gb gtx 960 and later on a second gtx 960? I think i could get the money for my gtx 780 what a gtx 960 4gb costs. I have seen somebody wrote a gtx 960 is 95% of the performance of a gtx 770 (have had a gtx 770) and also that gtx 960 is able to run at 1500mhz on air, an extreme oc'er so 2 gtx 960 should be faster then a gtx 780 ti and gtx 980

I don't suggest the 960 for your resolution unless you plan on buying 2 at the sametime. Taken from the write-up of the GTX 960 benchmark score posted on TPU's home page.-

3DMark Extreme (1440p) was harsh on this card, it scored 3438 points. 3DMark Ultra was too much for the card to chew, and it could only manage 1087 points. Looking at these numbers, the GTX 960 could be an interesting offering for Full HD (1920 x 1080) gaming, not a pixel more

For what you want, IMHO, your best option is to upgrade to a bigger PSU (850 range) and get a second 780. You'll be lucky to get $250 for your current 780 with the prices of the 970 being what they are.

gtx960's are yet to be released and prices haven't really been announced either past what are rumored. But gtx960 is rumored to be 120watt cards but 2gb version not 4gb. If they have a 4gb one it will be probably be 40-60$ premium.

Probably due to 2gb frame buffer and also cut smaller memory path. Most of it probably lack of memory.

I looked and i can get me a gtx 970 if i want to, just want to have my gtx 780 sold first, but it might only be a msi beacuse a asus strix only supports 3 monitors and gigaybyte dosn't turn off the fans at idle, it runs all the time

Cause they turned every graphic option in the game to its LOWEST setting, and probably only runs 30fps. As for fans, gigabyte card they are pretty much silent, shouldn't hear them over say a case fan to start with.

Techpowerup say just a bit more then 200 watt each but this page say 850watt in sli http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm that's a lot more then 660 watt that my psu is rated at.

What i also have thought about is 2x R9 270X 4gb cards the ones from asus only draws about 175-180 watt each http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/R9_270X_Direct_Cu_II_TOP/24.html and are surpose to out performe a R9 290X, power consumption is the same or less then a R9 290X and is cheaper then a gtx 760 (about 25% less then the cheapest gtx 760 4gb, in my country the xfx version is cheapest), but then again you don't recommend me a gtx 960

A pair of 770's DO NOT draw 850W if one typically pulls around 195W load two will be nowhere near that figure, damn I don't think anything around pulls 425W per card.

They also say it conservatively so those with a non quality psu is able to power 2xgtx 770 if they use the surgestions from the site i link to, techpowerup do say a gtx 770 (asus,gigabyte and msi) is using more then 200watt and when i had a gigabyte gtx 770 4gb i had it additional oc'ed so 250+ watt is not unrealistic

It's not just buy 2 new gtx 770 4gb cards because they costs the same as a gtx 970 and used there is not many gtx 770 4gb for sale, the only one i found costs almost as much as the cheapest gtx 970 (i live in denmark)

first you will not benefit from 4gb a lot, most of the time it will be 0-5%. faster gpu (is more important) > then bigger frame buffer.
your best option get another 780 or sell yours and get 2*970.
2*770 is of course faster then 1*780. but its not optimal solution in your case.
p.s. your psu should be fine for sli.
