I am very independent minded and have had enough of control freak GFs. It's one thing I refuse to tolerate in a relationship. Still looking for someone I can reach equal ground with.
I say there's a 3rd option there.
Changing T Shirt would be giving in
Changing GFs would be giving up
Option 3, explain to her that hypocrisy is not fair. If you're OK with her watching YT for hours on end, she should be OK with your gaming.
The bottom line is, every relationship needs understanding and equal ground to survive. Otherwise one ends up driving the other crazy, or worse, both!
I think most would agree that we have already seen the peak of evolution for gaming.
Im not saying that weve seen the best that technology can offer i think the step changes will be fewer and further between.
Unless anyone thinks otherwise ?
There's still monstrous hurdles to overcome.
1. PCs need unified memory and low level API
While that is harder to do on PC having a myriad of components to choose from and two competing GPU vendors, it should have happened already. Too much competition within the industry can thwart it's technological growth.
While I'm looking forward to Pascal and Dx12, it remains to be seen how well they'll be utilized on the development side.
2. Display tech in general, both monitors and TVs, needs less in fighting. Just like PC, too much competition within is also what's thwarting display evolution, and why we are still stuck on LCD.
3. Console manufacturers and big game publishers need to stop treating PC like the bastard child. Too many PC ports are given rushed development, inadequate testing, and even sabotaged for platform parity.
I'm all for staggered development vs simultaneous releases. Simultaneously releasing all platforms only increases the chance of bugs and inadequate optimization on the PC version, and platform parity gimping.
