Iv got a water cooled cpu 4930k and my gpu is a evga 780ti acx. Iv got enough tube left so what i want to know is will my water cooling loop to my CPU cope with the extra heat load if i connected my GPU also. Iv got a 4k monitor so its working rather hard and since upgrading my cpu seems to be quite a bit hotter (unsure id that's just from the temp of my case being in the extract).

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Nossy

A single 240 rad really isn't enough for a CPU and GPU. In your shoes, I would probably buy a thinner used single 120MM rad to add to loop for the rear exhaust fan spot in your case. Or on the bottom by PSU maybe. Temps still won't be great, but probably acceptable.

It can be enough for lower TDP parts, but for his combination, its definitely not. Id opt to add a another 240 if you can, maybe mount it to the back of the case with a radbox.

Yeah I would have suggested at least a whole 'nother 240 too but it sounds like he is trying to do this with as little loop reconfig and hassle/expense as possible. A single is probably the easiest to add, depending on case.

You are correct with the whole im trying not to spend ANY MORE. This computer seems to be a never ending pit of money being thrown in to fill it. But im not one to half ass anything. So im thinking of putting the 780 ti in a loop with the CPU if it would help and wait untill the next gen gpus come out and buy two of em (always wanted sli.) Then id put like a http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=18798 on them. But then i wanted to know would my water loop handle the extra kick?

On average, you'll want a 120mm rad per part, but since you have high-end, high-heat components, you'll be pushing it. At stock clocks you'll be fine, but who wants that ;). I'd throw in another 120mm rad to be safe.

So all he would need is another RAD, can he keep the same pump?

He should be good. I'm running a Rasa RS240 kit with a Phobya Xtreme 200mm rad added in. I don't have a GPU block, just CPU, but the pump should be able to handle another rad and block. That'd be all I'd personally add before stepping up the pump though.
