As I'm sure most of you fellow 2K users have noticed if you keep up to date with your Windows Updates, Microsoft has released Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 in lieu of it's originally planned Service Pack 5. This marks the final substantive update for the venerable (and popular) operating system. Windows 2000 has now been moved from Active Support to Extended Support as of June 30th. The update contains all the security updates issued since SP4's release along with other patches that "help increase system security and reliability" and added support for the "current generation" of hardware.
