Shipment from Michigan to Toronto is def. not bad.
I doubt you are going to get anyone in Toronto that will sell you those specific cards.

Actually, i have one that's pending right now. I just need to know if i ahve the right PSU for it so i dont damage the card. Erm...this guy is selling his evga 7900 gtx for 370 while this other guy is selling his x1950xtx for 400~. That's quite a steal. I dont want to go through all that hassle since i dont have paypal or any type of online payment. I dont want to send u money by mail and tell me later that u have not received it. Things will get too complicated. I rather pay the extra 30 dollars without my head aching. =)

Ninja just out of curiousity what is your system specs?

It might not even be worth getting a 7900GTX or an X1950XTX.

EDIT: Also for $50 more you can get an 8800GTS which will beat either card and prepare you for the future games.

Haha I can def. tell that your a kid from that statement.
Not telling you what to do.
The point of the forum is to give ideas and options to other people.
Hence what I am doing.
You must re-adjust your attitude and not take offence to what people say (esp. when they are trying to help you)

Are you talking about $380 Canadian or US dollars?
Bc you can get a 8800GTS for less than $400 US Dollars
Take a look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...e=&Description=8800GTS&Submit=ENE&N=0&Ntk=all

I never said you were wrong. From my first post, i have said that i was trying to find a person living close to my area who's selling a cheap card. I never asked for help in this section. This is a Trade/Buy Forum?

Yes it is.
However, if there is something that is better and very close to cost, why wouldnt you mention it.
It doesnt hurt anyone, does it?

Also, you might be able to help someone (hence the whole point of a forum).

Remember you must think outside of the box.

I am just trying to show you to not jump the gun when someone is trying to help you.
It is always good to get help from someone (whether it is useful or not).
Bc nowadays the world is a cruel and cold place where everyone likes to look out for themselves.

And to answer your question before, the 7900 GTX is in canadian price.

Here are my specs:

Amd Athlon 64 3500+

OCZ 512mb x2 3200
Asus Extreme N6600 GT
Western Digital 250 Gb Harddrive
Antec 400W Smartpower 2.0
Some Antec mid tower case
Window xp pro sp2

That does seem to help a bit.

So then the 8800GTS would be quite more in your case.
Here is why (You might know this, but I will list them anyways):
1. Your PSU would not be able to handle it
2. Your CPU would bottleneck it
3. Your RAM would bottleneck it

So yes it prob. would be better to go with the 7900GTX.
I am just curious if your CPU and/or RAM will bottleneck this card as well.

I know in my first rig (w/ the 3200+ and 1GB of RAM), my CPU and RAM are bottlenecking my 7800GT.
Hopefully once I move my 3700+ and 2GB of RAM that should solve the problem (or help it at least).

I am just worried about the PSU not being able to handle the 7900GTX since the reference did ask for 450W as a recommendation.

I am just worried about the PSU not being able to handle the 7900GTX since the reference did ask for 450W as a recommendation.

Yea I saw your thread on that.
The reference usually asks for a higher wattage than what it actually uses since there are many generic (aka crappy PSUs) that are 450Watts, but offer less amps than your SmartPower has.
For example, the min. reccommended PSU for the 7800GT was 400Watt PSU.
However, I saw many people run the 7800GT on 350W PSU (they were a good brand of course).

First question would be how old is your SmartPower.
The reason I ask is bc Antec has been building the same PSUs with lower quality parts.
Hence, many have stopped working and had to be RMAed.

Also, I know that some multi-railed PSUs can now share volts across 12V rails.
So if 12V1 rail is under-used and the 12V2 rail needs extra amps, then the 12V1 rail can give its extra amps to the 12V2 rail.
However, some amps are lost when this occurs (due to overhead).

I believe your PSU should be sufficient.
If you do want a cheap, but quality and good PSU then please take a look at this ( http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=23843 ).
It should help.
