[WTB][US] Wtb Video Card ~$170(Bought)

I am looking for a video card. Any brand. I bought a msi r9 280x off eBay for $170 and it came broke. The heatsink had sticky sweet smelling liquid dried onto it (which after thinking about it, it was probably his waterloop broke and leaked coolant onto the card damaging it).

So after sending it back I got my money back and I'm looking for something around the range of a 280x or gtx760.

I have $170 to spend so just MSG me or leave a post and tell me what you have and what you would want.

an r9 280x is much better than a gtx 760.

Also just something I've noticed when selling video cards on eBay, Nvidia cards seem to hold their value better than AMD cards. This might come in handy for you in your search.

Thanks for the info. I actually had an evga gtx 760 that I bought for $250 a couple of years ago.(crazy to see them that cheap new) Normally I go for nvidia but I built my friend a pc and we put a R9 270x in it and I actually liked it a lot. So I'm open to either R9's or Gtx.

And I got mine a cpl weeks before my birthday in July. So that's about a year and a half. In my book that's close enough to a couple of years. Maybe you should just stay off this thread if you do not have anything positive to contribute to continue this conversation.

I ended up finding another MSI 280x so I no longer need one. Thanks to everyone that messaged and posted!
