The 7950GT beats the X1950Pro in most games. The real competitor of the 7950GT however was the X1950XT. The latter chip could beat Nvidia's offering hands down. However unless you plan on getting a cheap X1950XT I would instead recommend an 8800GTS 320MB. It is much more powerful and has DX10 compatibility. Some people will undoubtably tell you an 8600GTS will do but I'm going to have to disagree. It's ludicrously underpowered in the shader count department, and with Nvidia's new architecture, to put it simply, thats where the power is at.

Forget such underpowered offerings such as the 2600XT and 8600GT- if people disagree with that statement, fine. But that's my opinion.

7950GT. End of story. 7950 as one true will said, is a competitor to the X1950XT. However, in SOME rare instances like games like Need for Speed Carbon, the X1950PRO is 2x Faster. Only due to the fact that it is a shader intensive game, other cases a 7950GT will throroughly dispatch it.

Pricewise, its in a different zone though, a bit more expensive than the X1950PRO. Again as he said, the X1950XT the competitor of the 7950GT will be faster than the 7950GT, and yes they ARE around the same price.

, yeah i plan on getting cheap, so like to buy an x1950xt

I think 4 me its useless buying a 8800gts , i dont need any DX10 experiance (many say that theres no difference camparing to DX9 and in DX10 cards, Dx10.1 is not supported)

yeah even i think buying an 8600GTS is useless

Thanx alot
