when my PC runs for longer than 15-20 Hours opening anything takes a second or two longer than usual, after 2-3 days even typing has a delay on screen and after 4-5 days the PC becomes unuseable. like running a Pentium D...
i can reproduce this with two Zen 4 CPUs and two motherboards on clean windows 11 pro installations with tested hardware and 100% verified stability (even running everything stock incl. JEDEC RAM speeds and timings)
i have this problem since maybe a month or two and i tried everything to fix it without success.
this does NOT happen on Zen 3 or any LGA1700 CPU that i own.
any ideas?

Now THAT may be slightly above average but is still not unheard of, lol.

To answer OPs question: sadly no idea. I have a server running Zen 4 hardware with really long uptimes. No issues.

EDIT: my mistake, server is Zen 3 / Ryzen 5800X. My gaming rig, which I seldom reboot, is similar though, and Zen 4 (7950x)

several on both boards. just updated to AGESA 1.1.0.3 yesterday on the B650E but it still persisted when the PC ran overnight until earlier today.

Maybe a new AGESA bug then? I am on an older, Januaryish AGESA.

iirc the board came with 1.1.0.0 (where the issue did not exist in early january) and now i went through .2 and .3 and a beta bios.

EDIT: my board seems to be on AGESA 1.1.0.1 if thats any help.
that would be a version below the one where the issues began.

Doesn't happen here on 7800X3D, BUT I had this exact problem back in the day with 5900X. Not sure what causes it.

I think it might have been still down to unstable Fabric? Not sure, it's been a long time.

Did you look in Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see what is running and hogging resources when it slows down?

that's the problem. the system idles at 1% CPU Load, 5-6GB of RAM usage and neither SSD nor any GPU load.

W10? or W11?

I don't remember much but I do remember when I had this issue, pure CPU benchmark scores didn't seem to be affected. I don't remember if I ran any AIDA. The fact that it hasn't happened since makes me think it might have been software/OS/firmware related.

I recently had some frustration with this new B650E-PG/ITX; it's the only one of the boards I've ever had that really does not like my ugreen USB hub. Having it plugged in will cause random keyboard inputs and lag in BIOS. So definitely Ryzen's relationship with USB is still as temperamental as it ever was.

W10? or W11?
W11 Pro (many fresh installs with just chipset and GPU drivers besides Firefox, Steam and Thunderbird) Nothing plugged in besides Mouse and Keyboard. Onboard Wifi and BT is disabled.
My Cinebench Scores are a tad slower after a day. from ~17400 to around 16600-16700.

I've actually noticed somthing similar recently on my 5950x based system my 5800X does not exhibit it. Mine only does it when I first go to use the pc though and is fine after 3-5 seconds so maybe a different issue only stared recently no bios or chipset updates windows 10.

Haven't really dug much into it because it hasn't really affected my normal usage and all benchmarks etc are fine.

when my PC runs for longer than 15-20 Hours opening anything takes a second or two longer than usual, after 2-3 days even typing has a delay on screen and after 4-5 days the PC becomes unuseable. like running a Pentium D...
i can reproduce this with two Zen 4 CPUs and two motherboards on clean windows 11 pro installations with tested hardware and 100% verified stability (even running every stock incl. JEDEC RAM speeds and timings)
i have this problem since maybe a month or two and i tried everything to fix it without success.
this does NOT happen on Zen 3 or any LGA1700 CPU that i own.
any ideas?
Hi,
Firstly you sir are a hoarder hehe

Have you used a performance power plan and just set it's minimum processor state to 5% ?

Hi,
Any slow response I've ever had were tied to hibernation and ssd's not quite working well with it
If performance mode doesn't work well enough just use CMD
Code:
powercfg -h off

Sounds like RAM/IF instability

Disable all downclocking/power saving features.

No power down, disable DF C states, SoC Core/uncore OC mode enabled.

Manually set DRAM/memory controller voltages too.

There were some other comments about 5950x so I thought I'd chime in my daily 5950x is on 24/7 with reboots only when necessary. Hadn't noticed anything like that with exception on my backup 5950x / gaming rig I had a USBC NVMe plugged into the front panel USBC connector. The system quickly became unresponsive until I disconnected the unit. Also I have a CKLau KVM with USB, when I plugged that sucker in all kinds of random keyboard input and lag ensued. I tried rebooting and when reaching login it was like it was trying different random keyboard input and failing to login until it rapidly locked my account.

See if there is something in your Windows Event logs like a repeating warning or critical event.

Do you have ECC RAM on those PC's having problems? Maybe your hitting region of ram and getting excessive corrections?

Got any peripherals attached? (Printer, etc.)
[I've seen old drivers for printers get a sort of 'interrupt leak' where it keeps slowing things down over time, but little to no CPU load. Same w/ bunk UPS/Laptopbatts 'spamming' ACPI, too.]

Since, you have a large collection, you don't have like a NAS or something set up on these? Perhaps a network/storage caching policy?

fTPM related? (that's supposed to cause stuttering and slow overall perf. Had that happen, myself.)
