Thermaltake eSPORTS Ventus X Plus Smart Gaming Mouse Announced

Yes, you read the title right. This is it, folks; it's arrived. The "smart" craze started with your "smart"phones and that has, in the meantime, risen to global domination in all kind of think-tanks and sci-fi scenarios has also arrived, quite literally, towards your gaming hands. The eSPORTS Ventus X Smart Gaming Mouse succeeds Thermaltake's previous Ventus X rodent, forgoing its ambidextrous design for one that's now definitely righter. It packs smart sensors that "track key mouse usage statistics such as click, movement and liftoff, which can be saved onto the cloud with social media integration for information sharing and review of these key performance criteria." (This also seems to me like a sensible way for someone to know whether you are on your PC or not simply through the mouse's feedback on these metrics, but I digress.) With Bluetooth support, the Ventus X Plus Smart (smarter) syncs this data with "mobile devices (iOS/Android) & PC via the Tt eSPORTS PLUS+ application and the Tt eSPORTS PLUS+ Community & Data Management Platform."
When it comes to its optical chops, the revised Ventus X features a 10,000 DPI optical sensor with on-the-fly DPI adjustment, an ARM-based 32 Bit microcontroller and Japanese-branded Omron switches with a 20 million click lifecycle. The mouse cable is braided, and ends in a gold-plated USB connector. It also has three removable 4.5g weights for some measure of personalization. All of these are delivered through an adjustable 125-1,000Hz polling rate and 1-8ms response times. The 256KB of onboard memory allows the storage of up to five different configuration profiles directly on the mouse, so you can take those on the go. The ubiquitous RGB lighting is here as well, with two lighting modes available: Pulse and Game mode. The logo and mouse wheel also change color to match your current DPI level. Pricing-wise, I expected to see a higher price-tag than the $49.99 MSRP.
