My download started at 900kB/s, then over an hour, drop to 150kB/s, resulting in making no progress on the time left.

Tried 3 times to download. Got to 91% the first time before it crapped out. Haven't been able to get past 30% the last 2 times. Will wait til later this week and try again.

The demo is awful. Black artifacts all over the ground and I get 5-10 FPS IF I am lucky ... thats with a 580 and I7 @ 4.3 ...

Dragon Age 2 review by PC Gamer magazine.

PC Gamer scored it higher than Mass Effect 2 and gave it Editor's Choice. it will take 50 hours to complete Dragon Age 2, so good news for people who thought it would be cut down to a 20 hour game.

so i am not alone with the black artifacts on the ground

I had horrible FPS and artifacts with DX11 as well. Rebooted the game, FPS went up and the artifacts were much less.. I get some wierd pixelated shadows of the characters in the upper right of the screen. Besides that it looks great and played great.
