Only the arctic ceramic one. Think the others are a bit hit and miss. When i bought some last time it was a bit more expensive than ASilver5. The only prob with ceramic is it has a longer wear in time than silver, you wont get the best out of it for a few weeks of powering up and down you pc. If your gonna get a wide screen monitor it has to be big (22" upwards) in my opinion otherwise it just doesnt look right.

than the one i posted?
it would be equal, it only ghosts above 16 and 20ms ;)

okay i read it wrong

im going to want to get a Regular screen since its would be better for it size right ?

 22"+ thats to much so a Regular screen would be better then right ?

and do you know about the Contrast Ratio what would be better?

Well i think so! Contrast ratio higher the better its all about the difference between dark and light that the monitor can display so high the ratio the better quality. If in doubt buy a samsung!

leeds utd 4eva!!

sorry dom, thats not very helpful i know

I hate football! its for girls! Rugby League fan proper mans game!

due to massive differences in picture quality (particularly with cheap screens) i'd advise looking in a few computer shops to 'try before you buy'

Back on topic!

As Grings said dont be tempted by cheap monitors they really are rubbish. Id only ever buy Samsung or Viewsonic, from experience these are the only brands that are consisitantly good. My advice would be get this one

One thing you should never ever scimp on is the monitor !!!!! If I were you I would wait till you can afford a 22+ wide screen!!!! Your card is more than capable of 1920x1080 and all games that I have eber seen that dont offer wide screen setting there is a resolution hack for the game...I use a 37 wide and I thought I would be taking it back after 20-25 days of testing for same as cash and wow let me tell ya brother , once I plugged in my 37 thetre was no way it was going back for same as cash. I just luv it!!!!

I would only use ceramic !!!!
Higher contrast is better !!!
Higher resolution is better!!!!
Lower responce time is better !!!!!
You can probably get more for your money if you buy a good CRT .

Also good idea to never scimp on video card which you did not:toast:

As a guideline yeah i suppose so. Its fairly basic. The monitor i provided the link for is an update of the one im using now, and i bought several for peoples systems iv built, cant fault it. I just hope your wife likes it!

i have seen (and seen reviews) where a screen with lesser specs outperform better spec'd ones so TRY to see one working somewhere before you buy

also ive seen a couple of reviews where cheap samsungs dont get too good write ups, though the current cheap samsungs in my local pc world (no, i wouldnt buy from there) look great(widescreen and regular)

Is there any 22" widescreens that can do 1080 natively with out down scaling it? I know the apple 23" does but thats £700+ then after that all iv seen is 24" and again there very expensive

One of the older 17"s was shite but im sure it had to do with it only having vga and not adjusting properly. . . . could be wrong tho!

None! sorry i really dislike them! Mainly cause there big and ugly and dont offer many advantages over LCDs any more.

I paid $1500+ from best buy when they were on sale and new to the market.

I like the Viewsonic crt's the 20inch is pretty kewl and can handle any resolution you throw at it. Example I run my viewsonic at 1600x1200 with a refresh of 120.

If you do go with a CRT then you'd be better off buying from a local vender as they way a ton and shipping would be a killer.

Nicholson , I do not know of any 22" widescreens that can do 1080 either. I guess I was just trying to say that he should go big cuz its nice and he will luv himself for doing it ..His wallet may not though. His wife will get use to the missing$$$$$

go for a monitor under 12ms and you should be fine
in addition, if your currently using a non widescreen, just a warning that they take a little getting used to, especially in games.

Im currently running a regular 19" and a widescreen 19" in dual desktop just for the extra work space and ive found that the widescreen doesn't feel as big. It is however, great for watching movies, using photoshop and doing other regular work based activities like using office programs.

As before stated, you need to get the hang of the new resolution of your monitor I guess. For example, going from a 17" to a 19" some FPS gamers have trouble adjusting their aim etc.

Resolution of the 19" is 1280 x 1024
while
Resolution of the widescreen 19" is 1440 x 900

But in terms of performance, they operate similarly
