HIS - Hightech Information System Limited jumped the gun when preparing their website for the upcoming AMD R600 graphics cards. The following link leads to their online product presentation website for the HIS Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB GDDR3 VIVO PCIe and pretty much confirms nearly all the rumors we heard about this particular chip during the last few weeks and months.

Thought there were some rumours of it being called off?

Thats why they are called rumours! OH baby that thing is hot! Umm yeah Im gettin one.

we need some benchmarks, c'mon now :)

very true we need some dx10 games that take full advantage of dx10 and make me upgrade coz right now i have no reason to when it comes to playing games

IMO, the flames make it look a lil' gimmicky. Kind of like a Civic w/ racing stripes.

we also need that card in a MUCH SMALLER size like how is any 1 gonna fit that into their case if its a lan box or something

I second that LiNKiN. Im thinking I need to get one.

DX10 please....would be nice to use a card for what it was made for...For the love of God, we need some DX10 games....

i see a second fan connector on that card...is that from the 12" model you think? or are they expecting to have a dual fan setup at some point...

as far as the flames and cooler, thats just stock ati....HiS always makes a nicer cooler..it will be neat to see what they will do for "ICE" cooling in the near future...

ATI needs to hurry up, i just finished a $4000 profit job...i am looking for killer DX10 card and want to give ATI a fair chance before i decide....I have always supported them in not releasing R600 yet (no games for it) but now that i am in position to buy my tune has changed---HURRY THE HELL UP ATI!!!!!

And here's even more solid evidence.

Part listing at ASI a distributer in Toronto, Ontario. No pricing
available yet though. I'll post it when it comes up.

61379 ATI Original Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB PCI-E Retail. Not stock
yet of course.

Woah, $4000? What the hell did you do!?!?!

mow lawns... j/k

i'm a home theater specialist...only i deal with extremely rich people....i'm just a "pee-on" installer for the most part...however in this last deal the customer was the son of a anesthesiologist mother...he is only 20 and she told him to buy whatever system for the house he wanted...he spent $230k on audio/video/security and lighting...$4k was my cut for the pre-wire.....

so if you think WOW $4k, then imagine going on a $230k shopping spree for electronics...almost makes me mad....being 20 and having no budget when you buy must be awsome...

The new chip features high-speed 128-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) rendering and up to 24x Custom Filter Anti-Aliasing.

holy shit, now does the 8800 or 8900 series have that??

well its safe to say AMD are offering a next generation graphics card where as nvidia are just offering dx10. Id say the 8900 series will be a complete series rather than just a single card

and audio, apparently!

all I can say isI want 2:toast:
{and the water blocks}:D

definately need two! then with crossfire, we can have twice as much FPS AND twice as many speakers!

(Yes, i am having fun with the integrated audio thing... i mean what the HELL)

Oh really? I dont get it at all, could you explain why thats neccesary to be on the video card?

(The way i read it sounded like an integrated sound card, lol)

Well in lay man...hdmi can do both audio and video.

so they integrated an audio chip so that you can run both audio and video to your television...rather video alone.

As you see on the card...there is no 3.5mm audio jack to plug you speakers ;)

HDMI is design to transport HD audio and HD video at once.;)
So HD 2900XT will be the first card to truly support HDMI.
