Looking for new optical mouse with weights

Hello!

I am finally looking for a new mouse, since my old and trusty "Microsoft Sidewinder X5" is dying slowly in my hand.

Here are my basic needs:
-optical only
-right hand only
-with cable
-with additional weights
-palm grip
-now using max 2000dpi sensitivity, every new one supports this level of sensitivity
-apart from the standard left-middle-right i also want back-front on the thumb and a way to change dpi without entering the software. I don't care if it is with dedicated buttons for profiles, or you go up down or you cycle through them.
-if possible, RGB lightning, it isn't a deal-breaker for me, but it is a welcome extra

Here are the dimensions of my current mouse:
Quote:
Product Dimensions
Mouse Length 5.07 inches (129 millimeters)
Mouse Width 3.06 inches (77.7 millimeters)
Mouse Depth/Height 1.61 inches (40.9 millimeters)
Mouse Weight 5.70 ounces (162 grams)

I would like it to be a little lighter and a little shorter, shorter is easy, but since I don't know how much lighter, weights is the only option.

The first thing that failed on my current mouse, was the rubber around the scroll wheel, the last year i am scrolling by touching the plastic core of the wheel...
So on my new one, I would like the wheel to have something durable.

After a small research the Logitech G502 Proteus seems ideal, but its over my budget of around 65 euros shipped.

I live in Europe, Greece, so focus on European e-shops :)

any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help!

the logitech G9x meets most, if not all of your criteria, but it's disconned. I'll look to see if their newest entry that level hits the mark.... that budget with those requirements will be interesting...

hmmm... how about a G500s? laser, weight tuning, multiple buttons... might a bit closer to your budget range, even in EU.

the G500s looks like a decent mouse, but it's laser, not optical. :/

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread as i've just had yet another (this is the 4th) Logitech g series (g700s this time) start the doubleclick bullshit

Obviously looking for something that DOES NOT use the supposedly awesome omron switches

Also if anyone has links to a reputable eu/uk supplier of the omron switches cheap that would be handy

Ditto on the G502 Best mouse I've ever owned. I loved my MX518 though but there obsolete. The G500 was good but the G500s has crappie switches G400 for Optical

G900 is also stellar

G502 is pretty good, but (at least old one) suffers from bad manufacturing. The mice feet were broken after a year or so and I'm not the only one with this issue. I just pulled them off and don't use any, but for a mouse that costed me €80 at the time, that's unacceptable.

Like someone has already posted, get the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime. It has smooth but straight accurate tracking for me, and it's doesn't feel overly heavy. Has a satisfying click sound to the button switches expect the scroll wheel has a muted click sound.

I am currently using an old G5, and I used to have a G9, but to be honest - in both cases I only adjusted the weight once and used them like that until retirement (G5 is still my primary mouse).
For this exact reason I'm thinking about switching to something more exotic, like LUOM G10: it is heavy out of the box, can be adjusted for different wrist sizes (back side is movable), has some good reviews, and supports programmable macros (stored on the mouse EEPROM, so can be used on any OS once programmed)

Same happened on my G5, and I've seen few of G502s with the exact same problem, but it is not very critical and happens rarely. You can spend $2-$3 on decent teflon pads from China once a year or so (original ones cost ~$10). The ones I bought were $4, but they were sturdier and had better adhesive surface - still good after 14-15mo or so.

Here's 2 sets for $4.50

can I ask why the preference for no-laser?
optical has better tracking
I want to use again my QCK Steelseries mousepad (cloth)

mionix naos 7000 is on my list, if I find something really good without weights like this, it will be a good dilemma

that's bad for a mouse of this cost!

I've seen it on reviews, I hope they have fixed it by now.

If you replace the teflon pads, it is like new or there is something else that fails?

I bought mine Oct 25th 2014. They started to just peel off. Never had this issue on my three previous logitech mice.

Going to buy a set or 2 from alibaba this evening, didn't even think about it to order it from China (logitech has huge transport costs) and maybe add a mouse pad or so.

Check for fake Razer Goliathus (medium or large size). Those are the best fakes I've ever seen (using one right now).
There are even GIGANTIC pads to accommodate a keyboard too (90cm x 30 cm) that cost pretty much the same($3-$4).
Stitching kinda sucks, but mine did not start peeling until it's first washing machine cycle 8 months down the road (just 1 thread came off a bit).

I would say that the G500 has everything you want except it has laser (Best mouse I've owned).

Failing that, since you are willing to go without the weights, a Logitech G400s should be perfect. It is a redesigned MX-518, and feels exactly the same in hand.

And you really can't go wrong with a Mionix, either.
