Forum upgrade complete

Imagine what it would be like to include emojis that hug Intel\NVIDIA\AMD. That would be hilarious.

I cannot see how to change my PC system specs after the update. Not bad change in general.

Been using it for about an hour, and I have to say it is definitely an improvement. The biggest thing I like is that when you edit a post, it edits right in the post instead of in a small pop-up like it did in the old version.

That might work. Though it is really starting to grow on me.

I actually like the new theme, I just know when I can't sleep in the middle of the night and go to browse the forums, I'm going to blind myself.

i wish it still had the recent thread ticker :(.... i guess im not a big fan of change.

Looks good on my phone

Just a daft question, is the posts per day missing or no longer supported? Otherwise, I don't mind it too much :)

It was a custom addon I wrote back in the day. Wasn't sure if it's still useful, so I didn't rewrite it for XF2. Anyone else have an opinion on it?

The mobile site is awesome

Looks pretty good, modern, tho the TechPowerUp logo is kinda lost in the blue banner, the dark parts at least.

If I'm thinking of the right thing, I think it was interesting to see that info. Not really critical to us users, but to you admins it would be useful to gauge forum activity.

It was kind of one of those neat things to see, but didn't really have a usefulness. I can see not taking the time to re-write it.

Trying to match up with boring Windows 8/10...

You know, something that I just realized that bothers me a little is the New Posts option. In the old forum there was a New Posts and a Recent Posts, I think, where New Posts showed only unread threads, but Recent Posts showed everything.

I liked using the Recent Posts more than New Posts. I realize that you can do the same thing by clicking the x to remove the Show Only unread filter, but that's two clicks vs one on the old forum. Any way to add Recent Posts back to the top that doesn't have the unread filter on by default?

System Specs page in profile doesn't work. At all.

True

That has been mentioned and is being worked on.

@W1zzard I did notice one change that seems interesting. "Thanks" have become "Likes". I have an interesting suggestion; Have both "Thanks" and "Likes". There have been several times that I "liked" something that was said, but only give it a thanks, and there have been other times when I wanted to express gratitude for a comment and the thanks button was exactly right.

The XenForo way of doing thanks has always been "likes". We changed some texts around in XF1 to make it "thanks". But I feel now that "Likes" is acceptable, now that it is the world's established term for this kind of user action

I'm not seeing this either. Windows 8/8.1/10 have the "Edgy", sharp angled flat look that a 5 year old with crayons could do better than. This look is a more rounded, 3D look that has a very classy appearance.

I like it! The only thing I would like to see would be a darker gray background. The current one isn't that far off from the Profile container. but all in all XenForo 2 looks much cleaner than the previous one.

I liked Recent Posts a lot, too, but it seems they removed it. I think on the right side (search filters) you can change the default setting, not sure if that works.

The main forum page starting to look better, the only thing I'd like to see is a NEWS section/ticker on top of the forum....
As it is now, you'll have to scroll down on the main forum page to find the news section at the bottom.... News shouldn't be there at the bottom IMO.

What the! this will take me some time to get used to

EDIT: nice skin though! would love it if it occupied all the space instead of leaving a couple of empty space in the sides

EDIT2: weird, checked out some other forums I visit, it seems that they use even less space. so my suggestion is to use even less space? i dunno something seems off with the format... or maybe i just need to get used to it
