You do know AMD has the lead in every category CPU wise right now correct? The merits of MCM design far outweigh the negatives, which is why both Nvidia and Intel are trying to do the same. On latency by the way, the University of Toronto showed it's possible to design a chiplet based CPU that has lower latency than a monolithic one through the use of an active interposer.
