Nah, not in the market for such cards in the first place + would never camp for one either:). 'don't even live in America'

Bivouac then. :p

Will be interesting to see how this poll changes after reviews are up

Will we get $1600 for reading it ? Even if it's value compared to $900 for the 4080 12GB...

For me, doesn't matter if it does 200 fps at 4k with RT on. If they drop the prices 50-75%, then I'd think about it.

Looking at the consumer credit data from Friday, guessing not many will want to add an extra $1600 on credit card when they've probably got a perfectly decent last gen or gen before card.

But we'll see.

Although the 4090 seems to be the most VFM card of the 40 series, I won't buy one.
1679£ is a lot....also my psu cannot handle it.

I'm stuck with the 2080Ti and it seems I may have to move to a 3080Ti/3090 if I want a reasonably priced upgrade.

No. I have no need for a new gpu.
Actually I have no need for any components.

Why does people still camp out. You can order online and not leave your house :)
takes time to ship, people want it now

It takes time to camp out which means I am not doing more important things.

lol

Its an excuse to get out a little more and meet likeminded component-camping-contemporaries

i own a 3090, 3080 ti, 3x 3080s and a lot more...
i will absolutely NOT buy any ADA Graphics Card. not on the 12th. not in 5 years.

Time is money and camping out is me losing money.

You gotto try passive income!

Just curious, if time is money, what does that make space and distance?

I'm not even sure I understand why people camp for stuff, doing without isn't so bad.

I'd rather do without then shop camp

@wheresmycar joy and pain.

I think those are line sitters that camp for somebody esle as a service provided to resell the item for profit.

Yes, just not a nVidia card at least until all the facts are out for both company's.

once and a life time experience to have, i haven't done it yet

though could be a cool bonding of enthusiasts, etc

The Radeon RX 7800 XT at 80-90% of the performance for 30% of the price and 50% the power consumption will be a better buy, always and 100%.
I think it's incredibly optimistic to think that, even if the 7800XT even offers 80% of 4090 performance (tall order, but not impossible), it will be ~$480 (30% of the price) and 225w (50% of the power). I mean, we can hope right, and for sure that would make them exceptionally compelling products, but would bet money the cost and power consumption would be significantly higher.

Poll's busted by the camping factor. Even if I wanted it, I'd never camp out for a card. People who do so are hard-wired that way.

And campers help inflate an items perceived worth, while (if enough people camp) it also helps clear it off of shelves. In fact, campers are analogue scalpers.

So there.
