W1zzard approved. The only requirements to participate is to register in the EHW forum, make a post in the contest thread "IN (folding name)" and use our team number 239902 for the four days.

There are random prizes as well as top 3 prizes to make this fun as well as competitive.

Be mindful of the start/stop timers as they are UTC time zone.

Hope you see some of you next month for some crunching.

Updated contest thread with the verified Cooler Master prizes. So far that's 13 sponsored prizes from CM, Corsair, and be quiet. Considering we usually have about 20 or so people participating, there's a very good chance to win something :)

I'll update again if any more sponsored prizes trickle in

Nice! To bad I don't have anything spare to fold with :(

If the winners are chosen by most points submitted, one person with a 4090 would be difficult to compete with. I only have a 6750xt

@Nordic I think that's fine. otherwise people would fold 1 hour and call it good.

Top 3 points get a prize (and first pick) then the rest are random for anyone who completes 20 work units (fairly easy on medium hardware). You'll definitely be able to do that with your 6750xt and you can also use your CPU or anything else you want.

The planning committee went back and forth and compromised on how the prizing works so that would be competitive, easy enough for someone new, but challenging enough to be worthwhile.

That

I feel you. A lot of my stuff will be tied up during the contest but I have two quadro m4000s that will be free and a ryzen 2700x that will be folding

Is barrowed hardware allowed?
Of course. We have one guy that rents hardware from Amazon Web Services or something and he put up 288 work units last month in our last 3-day event. We encourage you to go ALL OUT to compete for the top three prizes, but we want to encourage newcomers with less potent hardware so we are giving away most of the prizes as random draw.

I personally was able to fold over 60 WU on my RX 6900XT while running it at about half-power (125W 800mV 1900MHz) at the last 3-day event.

Bump. We've still got more prizes available than eligible entrants (most of our staff have opted out for fairness).

I'll see if I can get my little 1080 TI up and running for this one :) Think I might be able to manage two cards if the weather behaves :)

Yeah this weather is nuts. It's been so warm here that people are swimming at the beach. The jet stream is a steep roller coaster due to collapsed polar vortex. I'm hoping to be on the cold (or at least cooler) side of the front by March 17th or it's going to be scorching in my office where I have all my folding rigs.

Also BUMP :D

If only it was warm here lol!! Was snowing this morning in the UK... Crazy right?! But thankfully, the UK didn't shut down because of an inch of snow and was mostly rain by the end of the day... Sadly though, the solar panels didn't do too well today, producing only 0.2kW of power... Yeah, that's not gonna help landing me in the top 1000!! Still, hopefully tomorrow will be better!!

Bump. Just over 3 days to go. Get registered and get your rigs ready to go so you don't miss out on some prizes.

Keep an eye on the start time since it's UTC time zone.

Don't blow up your hardware with overclocks. F@H is very stressful and will crash at the slightest instability. There will be casualties. There always is.

Ok I got the prize info from EVGA Jacob.

TEN X20 Mice
TEN Z20 Keyboards

We have had a major influx of contestants this week, but we could still have leftover prizes, thus we have had to implement a slight rules change to make the contest even easier.

We have lowered the requirement for the random prize draw to 10 Work Units.

In the event that we have prizes leftover, we will hold a second round of random prize giveaways for those that completed 20 Work Units.

I'm working on getting this info into the official thread, updating our banners, and all that today.

Thank you Jacob and EVGA for generously giving back to the folding community.

1 BILLiION Points! To bad I have nothing I can afford to die on me in the unlikely event it does.

Would a moderator or admin swap this image into the OP for me? I don't have edit ability.
OP has been unlocked so you can make any other edits as necessary

UPDATE- will pass on any prizes but might join in using the TPU_remembers-Kreij account. PM me for the key if anyone wants to use the account and fold in the name of our dearly missed friend.

Honored to be folding in his name on Ryzen 5800x with two Quadro M4000s.

Just over 8 hours to go until event start. Hopefully your crunching machines are lit off already to work out any last minute kinks.

We appreciate all of you coming over to help out with this <3

With a few complications I will be joining, might be a little later on but I'll do my best to get some sort of contribution sorted!! :)

It's cool. It starts in about 15 minutes and we already had our first complication.

Our dev mistakenly put a countdown banner with the wrong time, and it just appeared like 20 minutes ago and it's driving everyone nuts. Ofc we can't get ahold of our admin because he's halfway across the world and it's his sleep time :D

You guys are killing it!

Haven't started mines yet, will be after I get off work.

Come on and join the fun. It's better to be late to the party than never. There's still 3 1/2 days.
