Adblock Warning Removal list removes warnings about using ad blockers doesn't work

It's also fucked up in edge

Okay. Then don't use that. I use AdGuard in Edge. No problems here.

Adblock Warning Removal list removes warnings about using ad blockers IN ADBLOCK don't work

Well it finally happened.

Got a pop-up warning about ad-blockers last night while using uBlock Origin w/ Chrome & YT.
Up until that point it had flown under the radar, so its days are numbered.

I feel for you

Youtube premium is so expensive $17 or €16 every month, greedy bastards 10 euros for a whole year i would just have payed it.

I don't want to mess around with vpn that works one month and the other don't

It's ludicrous what they are asking for, that's actually more expensive than ad-free Hulu here ($15/Mo).

At my end, in denmark it's $17 or €16

Im shure you can get it cheaper by using vpn to buy it in another country, if it was €10 for a whole year i would long time ago (it started this month) have bought youtube premium

In the US it's $13.99 / Mo or $139.99 if you pay annually (still too much IMO).

The rich get richer

Those who don't have to much just have to pay if they want to have a little fun in there life

Youtube can be soo fun and before you realise it you have spend 2 hours on youtube but not with 1 min adds before almost every video (there are often 2 adds before the main video)

Just install AdBlock.

Don't work
Only thing that works IS

No add block and just get used to looong adds, videos before the main video

Pay a premium price for youtube premium

luckily not all video have adds

I only watch YouTube videos because ad block prevents me from seeing ads. If that goes away I will simply stop watching YouTube. Probably for the better anyway.

IMHO, if you are not harming the company by bypassing their monetization and wouldn't use the service if you couldn't bypass it, I call it fair game.

Oh that sucks. The era with adblock + Firefox = commercial free YouTube is over. Got the pop up message today and after 3 videos its either dissable adblock or no videos :shadedshu:

Well for longer videos, i will from here on use 4K video downloader. It can download youtube videos down to your pc. On that way i can watch it commercial free. So i Dont have to be brothered with commercial every freaking 5 min. Legal or not. I will do it. When YouTube does this, i will do that. Specielly as long that commercial free fees are so high as it is. Google/youtube aint getting my money.

Yeah youtube can be a time consumer. I know that all to well.

That's on a timer. I just got a pop-up warning me about adblockers last night (using uBlock Origin).
That's weird. AdBlock never gave me a popup. They're being constantly updated to dodge Youtube's latest algorithms.

Some adds can be as long as 90 sec, 1½ min long

I think some youtubers will make a video about, mabye linus will

I hope they can give us some useful information that can help us watch youtube video without paying full premium price for youtube premium and without having long adds + adds every 2-3 min in a 30 min long video, thats just shows us they are money hungry .......... (just put in what ever word best describe them best).

Long ads can be skipped.

And this is unrelated, but I have noticed Spotify also doubled down on ads, too. They didn't use to be that frequent, now I get 1 or 2 ads every 3 songs or so.

Use to be to disable ads,now youtube has made it so it's ads ads and more ads or pay for it, i can have one good antivirus every month for a whole years for what 1 month of youtube premium costs or one month of netflix, why do they want such a high price ?

It's just that we are gotten use to youtube and the 100 of 100 we follow and the weekly updates on our favorite youtubers, reviews of hardware and crazy video like some of the video made by linus sebastian or just funny videos we like to watch

Don't look at me, I used to pay for Google Play Music, before they ran it into the ground. Unlike you, I simply moved on, I didn't open discussions on the Internet to complain they don't offer their service on my terms.

Except you don't have to pay. Nothing says you MUST buy the Premium plan. You can just go get a cup of coffee or hit the head when an ad comes on - just like we do now with free broadcast TV or even cable TV (which is hardly free) when a commercial comes on.

I understand what you are saying but it is not about those who don't have too much or those who have more than they will ever need. It is about a business being paid for a product or service they provide.

Would you walk in to McDonalds and say, "gimme a Big Mac" and expect them to just give it to you? And if they didn't would you go tell all your friends McDonalds is just a money hungry bastard?

Depending on the source you believe, YouTube has ~2,800 employees. We have to assume these employees have bills, rent, need to eat. Many surely have families they need to support. How is any company going to pay their employees without some means of earning revenue.

I see this from both sides. I am a consumer, and far from being a rich consumer. I sure don't want to be ripped off by corporate greed. But I also ran my own electronics repair and IT consulting business for years. I needed my company to make money to pay my overhead expenses, to make a living so I could support my family and pay my bills, AND so I could make payroll and pay my employees from the income we made providing our services.

You would be amazed if you knew how many people came in, almost on a daily basis, asking us how to troubleshoot their computers or repair this or that electronics problem - expecting us to just give our expertise (and business and source of revenue) away for free.

Again, would you just walk into Burger King and demand free Whoppers? Or go into Walmart and demand free toys then complain that Burger King and Walmart are greedy if they did not give you free handouts?

I hate to say it, but if they successfully torpedo adblocked youtube in both Chrome and Firefox I would pay the ransom. Ads are poison for my focus. And I quit a couple of streaming services lately.

The ads I really REALLY dislike are those that require users interact with them. That is, they don't go away until you click on something. At least with cable TV - where you not only have to pay for the service but then have to endure ads too - after the ads air, the show comes back on.
Ads are poison for my focus.
I think that is a good way to express it.

I must add that I pay considerably extra to (1) rent a DVR box with my cable service, then (2), pay extra for the DVR service. But these extra fees allow me to record a show, then, when ready to watch, skip past the ads. For example, after Stephen Colbert's monolog and the remaining of the show, I can tell my remote to fast forward 4 and 1/2 minutes, bypassing all the commercials. :) This way, a 60 minute show lasts ~45 minutes.
