Hello, here is my problem, I updated my bios and by activating the secure boot when my pc restarted I had a black screen since. I tried several times to do a clearcmos whether with the battery or the pins but nothing changes. My pc turns on normally all the components turn except that I have a black screen and no logo or access to my bios, my pc makes a noise as if it restarts every 10-20s.

I am totally lost and I do not know how to solve this problem.

Here is my configuration:
Cm: Aorus x470 ultra gaming
Processor: ryzen 5 2700
Cg: asus rog vega 64
Ram: 16 go
Power supply: evga 750w gold

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards.

Remove the CMOS battery for 2-5 mins and see if that helps

And be sure to unplug it from power before doing so.
I usually just switch off at the back as it's easier in my case than trying to find the right plug or pull the cable altogether, then cycle the power button to discharge any remaining power left in the system.

Good suggestion I omitted, though have been guilty of not doing this many times and thankfully no issues but yes indeed, correct procedure.

still the same result, nothing changes, I removed the power plug during the operation, I and less cmso 15 mins but nothing

I noticed one thing too, my motherboard, my processor, ram and graphics card start well but my keyboard or mouse do not light up

What are you using for Display? Sometimes (for some reason) you can lose the Display. DP can do it more than HDMI but they can both do it. Do you have another cable and different port you could try?

Can you try clearing the cmos by shorting the pins, I believe they are located where i have circled on this picture of your board from the GB site https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X470-AORUS-ULTRA-GAMING-rev-10#kf

I usually just use a flat tip screwdriver to touch both pins for a few seconds, as previously turn off and drain the system of power first

I try with hdmi and display port I have 2 screen

Yes I try this too :(

How long did you leave it on for when it is turned off and restarts after 10-20s? maybe leave it a few mins

Thinking of it there was one occasion I had similar with my GB board and shorting the pins didn't work as in previous times, usually when I borked something myself, I spent a good half hour trying other things, maybe unplug everything unneccesary, drives etc, try with 1 stick of RAM only and in different slots etc if still no, try another, unplug ATX and CPU cables and plug them in again firmly, reseat GPU... I can't actually remember how I managed to fix it on that occasion and put it down to the board spazzing out on that one occasion..

Unplug your storage drives, any optical drives and see if it can post, if not try a different gpu or verify yours is still good, if it is your mobo, it might be bricked.

Good ol Gigabyte, I wonder if any other board makers had this problem...

Yea, gool ol Gigabyte, tbf I have had very litte issues with this board and is pretty good with my 5700x and everything else apart from these odd occasions usually down to something I have done, but should normally be rectified with a simple cmos clear

I try with à différent gpu nothing same drivers, I tried unplug and plug the cable nothing

I see the led on my motherboard they to move to vga,cpu and and boot

Try the other suggestions, removing drives and RAM, use only 1 stick, reseat ATX/CPU cables etc

Are you able to take it to a shop? did you build it yourself or was it a pre-build?

Tried booting from another drive?

Man I have a black screen I start my pc I no have acces bios and nothing
Try these if you have not already:
Reseat cables and GPU
Remove all drives and RAM except 1 stick - tried all slots and different sticks
Another PCI-e slot for the GPU

if you have done all of the above, maybe last option is to breadboard it, take everything out and run on a test bench/outside of the case

There's no reason why it shouldn't work after a BIOS update if you managed to succesfuly boot it up and change the secure boot option in the BIOS, however H/W randomly dying does happen and it could be coincidental timing, though I am not so sure that is the case just yet.

Do you know if the motherboard has BIOS writeback, you can updated the BIOS with a USB and no CPU, came in handy for users who bought AM4 motherboards that didn't support the newer Ryzen CPU's out of the box, you could also try that and see if you can revert the BIOS

On the GB page for your board it states it has dual BIOS, not sure how this works on motherboards, is it the same as GPU whereby you flick a switch to change from 1 BIOS to the other?

Does your board have a post code or LED indicator lights?
