not to self; trademark "Tempting Titillating Tadpoles" as an adult movie series and market it to R-T-B and his friends:pimp:
No. Tadpoles are kids dude.

Be thanful I stopped you. You wouldn't survive frog jail.

It must be difficult finding games with frogs as playable characters. My sincere condolences.

Kerbal is close.

and topless I might add

Personally I have never felt a sexual feeling from a video game (probably normal since there aren't many targeting... lets say frogs) and so mostly play characters I can identify with (male in my case). YMMV, and that's fine.
That makes it the two of us. :)

Frogger perhaps?

Mods, I may have started this particular offtopic fire, but it was an accerdent.

Please. Be nice. But we should go back to the topic probably guys.

I think when it get to that point it's time to go touch the grass and re-introduce yourself to society.

When video games cease to turn you on, you need to go outside more?

What is this weird logic, explain? I think frankly if anything is true its the other way around.

I may also be to blame here :fear:

I was actually thinking about this, and I realized that in games with high character customization I create a self-idealized version of myself.

Now that was a bit of a word salad but I can't think of a better way to put it.

I guess If I see myself doing all of these heroic things in the setting of the current game, I want myself to look heroic. Perhaps it is simply my lack of self-esteem.

I made my Starfield character look like a metrosexual. Why? Cause it's funny to me.

I think the logic is the opposite: when your only sexual pleasure lies in staring at animated female parts in a video game, then something's gone amiss in your social/private life.

That's what I was saying.

so was I, it's not a healthy rabbit hole to go down

no, it's when video games become a view point for people to see women and relationships then it's not healthy. Also I have never been turned on by cartoons or pixels.

Don't take it the wrong way, but people with "funny" characters are the exact reason why I don't like playing online.

When you see someone with a modded traffic cone hat in Chivalry (a supposedly authentic medieval warfare simulator), it just kills all immersion instantly.

Depends on the game but for historical games yeah I hear you.

In DRG my character may in fact be a parody of an irish stereotype. I make no apologies.

Please, stay on the topic.
This the last warning post.
If you wish to discuss other topics... feel free to create one to do so.

I'm looking forward to not playing as Geralt of Rivia in TW4. After so many games of playing the same guy it gets old for me. No idea if TW4 will have full character customization (including female characters).

Yes, anyway, for me it's not graphic in a way, i won't ever think it's appealing to watch the girl character made by computer, not alive, but i feel it so fun and cool and all....... to choose the feminin character, i always do/did.

BTW i will edit my first post bc i think i wrote femal in the hurry but not had the correct word in mind (i'm Frecnh and seardhed English wording)

CRAP edit:
i can't anymore, too old or bc already received reaction !?!

I've never made a female character in my 40 years of gaming. I have chose a female as my operator in COD though.

On things like RPGs and such my first run is always a sort of self insert, so I tend to play male characters.

On my subsequent "opposite choice" playthrough, then I'll typically play a female character for the sake of experiencing any differences the game has to offer.

I think lot of men gamers play female character in video games, i ask why, for which reasons !?

I do always...

I avoid it. Actually, almost all of my games don't employ female lead character (not intentional).

Call me old-fashioned but I keep overly sexualized portrayals of women far away from my screen. Fortunately, the games I play don’t feature those slim waisted, scantily clad, large breasted characters running around on my 27" monitor or 65" TV. I can't let my kids be exposed to the normalization of objectifying women. It’s a tough job keeping an eye on what they’re consuming, especially with social media and entertainment going nuts with promoting exploitation as normal. It’s not always easy but as Piers Morgan would say, it’s definitely a "moral quandary"

I play whatever character has the least annoying voice lines. I prefer no voice lines. I can't play a female character in PUBG, because the getting hurt voice line sounds fake and forced, and is absurdly loud. The male's sounds like he stubbed his toe or hit his finger with a hammer. Then again, it might be realistic. I haven't heard anyone irl shot with anything worse than a red rider bb gun. That's more like a bee sting. I know there's videos, but I rather not.

I mostly play shooters, millitary sims, survival, and strategy like games. The majority of female characters don't have clothing that fits the lore, or it simply doesn't make sense for there to be many women in that scenario. The few that do have women have them show more skin and don't have the right body to carry a lot of weight, which doesn't make sense when in a warzone crawling on the ground with a machine gun. One game, APB Reloaded, it makes sense. The warzone is a high end urban area, controlled by gangs and private police. Both recruit anyone and assign jobs at anytime. Getting a call at 4 AM and needing to run out in your undies with an AK seems fitting. You design your character by picking base clothing items, then applying symbols. You can get really complex if you try. Most people make pantless girls, tacticool police, and RGB 0:0:0 blacked out with 3D glasses. I don't get the last one. Every now and then you'll see someone who stands out, like you know they're the main character in this game's lore. They tend to play like it too, probably because they're actually into the game, and not just staring at their character's body parts.

I'd not mind playing as a female MC, I'd prefer it to be from a 3rd person view, looking at the shapely backs of these female characters helps to keep me interested. I mean, I've been know to play Eve of Stellar Blade just running around for.....exploration, yeah, yeah, that's the story I'm going with. :p:D

But when a game requires a character to be oozing with raw but necessary brutality, like Space Marine 2, I'd enjoy it much more playing as a hulking male than as a female. Still, IF there were a game to play as an Adepta Sororitas (in 3rd person) in separate missions where I get to kick butts as a Sister of Battle, I'd not mind that, heck, I'd love to see more of their lore as well (I'm in the process of diving deeper into this fascinating and brutal WH 40K lore.......but it has to be true to lore.

Answer: because they are sexually attracted to the character.
