AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Launch Allegedly Set for March 6

Are you talking about Nvidia? The last I checked, there was plenty of 9070 XT stock in stores, ready for a January launch.

I am thinking both at this point. The 7900XT/XTX etc is selling out. (The upper tier $ wise)

There is no such thing as coincidence, only well planned events to make it appear so.

The Uniko page has already changed, it now looks like the below - note how "2025 March 6" is now just "early March". Either this is an actual leak and AMD was unhappy about that and ordered it removed (although the URL still shows that date, LOL) or Uniko just made it up and got cold feet once the mouthbreathers at videocardz picked it up. And of course, now TPU loses credibility for reporting rumours from questionable sources as news - but this is something I've brought up before and management apparently cares more about clicks than reputation.

Is this even confirmed though, or just more scuttlebutt?

It should launch on the 6th of March that's a Thursday and I really hope I can get one if not AMD has fucked up stock like Nvidia did.

I want a Sapphire Pulse this time not needing a Nitro+ because I am not digging the Nitro+ design since their Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ Special Edition I would have love Sapphire to kept the blue colour.

ALL the stars in the entire universe have aligned for AMD for this release . They would need to really struggle to fuk this up. The bar is veeery low this time all they need to do is suck less than Nvidia in pricing and value

If the 9070 XT is anywhere near in performance, then I'm not surprised. They're probably ramping down production of last-gen cards. At least they're not being scalped like Nvidia, as far as I'm aware.

I would agree, but we don't know what the Sapphire Pulse is gonna be like (they didn't bother showing it at CES). The PowerColor Reaper also looks decent, in my opinion. I'll be on the hunt for one of them myself.

Good, because right now the beaver buck is not doing so well.

I almost bought a 9800X3D.. but it is just about 800 polar pesos.

Just cant.. well I can, but I don't want to :D
I'm refusing to pay over a certain amount for a motherboard out of principle. We'll see how long that lasts...

Don't fall for their ploy people, you should be older and wiser by now and recognize their tactics. Yeah, the wait time sucks, but alas, what else can you do if you want to see normalcy restored? This whole thing actually makes me question how addictive gaming is? It's not looking good. Would explain a lot of other metrics in other areas we see today.
Maybe I should have stored my currently unused hardware in Jay Leno's garage

I love they keep the black design as the Pulse series is known for, I just hope I can buy a RX 9070 XT Pulse on launch day.

Ah! No wonder I missed it - I don't use Twitter, Twatter, or any social media other than Facebook. :ohwell:

That three-fan thing looks like a big chungus - exactly the kind of card I don't want to get. :( I guess I'm gonna buy my first ever PowerColor card, then.

They also had it on IG and maybe FB I follow Sapphire to know what they are up to but their marketings department ain't really up to snuff every time xD

But I still follow them unlike Asus, Gigabyte and MSI, I follow other tech people that re-twit what they post so I am good.

If you feel so inclined please link the updated version of this when they start taking about RDNA 4

They have smart looking SFF builds on their twitter

AC168 is still more to my liking though

To be fair, I don't really use Facebook, either. Only Messenger. Too much clutter. Me no likey. :D

I have passed this date onto my friend who is hanging out for this upgrade. For the love all that is holy AMD, PLEASE don't screw this up. I have a bunch of friends champing at the bit for a decent mid-range card not made by Nvidia and they will throw money at you if you price it right and it runs well.

Another day, another supposed 9070XT fact.

Hey I heard the 9070XT is going to beat the 5080. So its true

Gotta love AMD for keeping a tight leash on their product launches eh

At least it isn't like 2016/17 amd gpu rumors we'd be getting rumors that it was going to beat the 5090 for 1/3 the cost.

If AMD can offer the same performance and similar features as a 5070Ti for $200 less, the market could be theirs. But I doubt AMD have the balls to do it.

LMAO why the actual f**k would AMD basically give their product away for free?

And before the roaches crawl out of the walls to point fingers with "but that's what you said elsewhere" - no, I did not. I said that AMD should discount their products to ensure market dominance, even if that involves making a loss. "$200 less" is not "making a loss", it's setting your head on fire.

Because they have no market share and will go bankrupt (Radeon) if they continue without disrupting the market. People are sick of NV and their tricks and money grabbing.

Just because NV want to normalise paying $800 for a midrange card, does not mean that it costs $800 to make that card. A 5070Ti costs no more than $300 to make and ship in a box.

They can disrupt the market without setting their heads on fire. Undercutting your competitor does not imply bankrupting yourself to do so.

They need to do something NOW, because this minor refresh is a bloody gift from NV to the GPU industry. NV's next chip will be back to 50% perf gains which AMD cannot compete with.

Anyway, how can Intel do it, but AMD can't?

hate to be the bearer of bad news but the intel cards are sold at no profit or less.
Also the EU prices are bad, the stock is in a lot of regions not available & they have driver issues/inconsistencies on a good amount of games.

What do you mean? intel is at least two generations behind!!!! If anyone can compete with nvidia that's AMD

~ RTX 30 Series efficiency

nvidia makes the most money from single gpu profit, amd is second and intel is last.

Bankrupt? Where? I think some of yall need to really go do some research. Their gpu division(overall) has made the most money ever in company history.

I oddly find something respectable about the quiet way AMD is handling the RDNA 4 launch. Not necessarily likeable, but respectable.

I've said it many times in other threads: companies live on profit, not market share. Selling more products doesn't mean a thing if they're all sold at a net loss. The Radeon group is operating at a loss already, they don't need any more of that.

Anyway, how can Intel do it, but AMD can't?
What can Intel do? Compete with the 7600 / 4060 for 20 quid less while the card isn't in stock anywhere except for the US? :wtf:

But the latter is a component of the former. After all, with 0 marketshare you have nobody buying your product and therefore 0 possible profit! Yes, it is possible to have a very small marketshare but massive profits, if you are in a very niche industry and/or have a captive target market (e.g. ASML to TSMC) - which is not the case for consumer products. So therefore in the consumer space, it is entirely correct to say that companies live on their marketshare.

OCUK finally has the Sparkle in stock, CCL claims they can ship this weekend, so it seems that finally supply chain has caught up. Bizarrely it seems that they've got tons of stock of B570 but not the earlier-released B580...
