AMD's new RDNA 4 GPUs are launching today. The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ is a fantastic custom design with powerful cooling and whisper-quiet fans. In terms of FPS, the RX 9070 XT offers competitive performance with similarly priced NVIDIA options in both raster and ray tracing.

Considering all the previous leaks, the performance is pretty much as expected.
If they manage to keep the list price, this is a big win for AMD.

Within one-digit percentage consolidated performance difference of the 5070Ti, for less cost. Win.

Banger of a card. If everyone that wants one get get an MSRP model this is a runaway success. Heck f**cking yes AMD.

Holly f... N48 is a bad boy. A high-end RDNA4 would be insanely fast.

Only crazy people would buy the 5070 Ti/5080 for $1,000–$1,500 now. XD

I may have just soiled myself... "UNGH" and again...

AMD well done, now get that pricing right!

Thanks @W1zzard for another great review, I can see only title that the RX 9070 XT ain't performing in so far is CS2 but I do not play that so that's fine with me :lovetpu:

Here's to hoping that there's an ample selection of models found at MSRP. Good job amd, good job.

Magnificent AMD, well done. Hopefully people can buy these at non-scalping prices. <3

AMD delivered. Great review!

Looks like a bombshell went off!!
Can't wait to see a 20+GB version!

If the market is wide, then the scalping is harder!
This is great!
So bad CS2 FPS, why?
Wait for the new drivers,
it should be fixed soon!

Like I said yesterday, but the opposite. There's a formula to it; balancing a video card is possible. Look at this:

This is what being fair to your customers looks like. And it'll scale, like it does here...across generations and games consistently...because that's what they do. You can literally count on it and predict it.
Hence look at my post in the 5070 review yesterday, where you could be guaranteed nVIDIA would never let that card do 60fps mins in Wukong, and is just massively overcome by Outlaws due to not having enough everything (compute/ram). Here you see they gave you exactly what you needed, and it can do both at 60fps mins. AMD needed to do that and they did.

Add a ~10% oc on top of this...not bad...not too bad at all.

Wont be shocked to find these as well going out of stock like Intel's Battlemage and AIB starting to scalp.

Edit: Apart from presence of stupid power hazard of power connecter atleast someone at Sapphire had common sense to put a pair of fuzes near that power connector unlike nGreedia engineers who went one extreme penny pinching.

Good news for the 9070-series as a whole, though this particular Nitro+ is extra hungry when it comes to power consumption.

What is less impressive is the Nitro+ premium. A $130 premium on a $600 card is an extra 22% to pay for something that has boost clocks that are likely within 3% of the $600 MSRP models like the Pulse.

The 9070XT Pulse is a day-one buy for me tomorrow but I'm going to be trying to undervolt it immediately - I'm generally not interested in GPUs that use more than 250W and I doubt I'll be able to bring the 330W down as far as 250W given how limited the power slider was for RDNA3 cards.

Does these cards have some issues going into full low-power mode? I see x16 3.0 instead of x16 1.1 in the OC page.

No issues, check the idle power numbers

This is exactly what we needed. I will be buying one.
