What's your latest tech purchase?

I thought they couldn't improve much from the 7000 Nitro cards but they went ahead and revamped the Nitro design once again. Love this design. :D

Also, cool little thing but the front mesh can also be removed very easily with a screwdriver if you want aren't a fan of the fence look.

I vaguely remember VHS tapes when I was like 5 years old if that eases things.
No, it doesn't :(

Is it really bathroom switch, or emp device ? :)
I wish it would be EMP device, but nothing else in this appartment was reacting to that switch. Just Lenovo display had this reaction. My older AOC display did not care.

The cooler is new
The PSU is almost new

And I'm gonna use the CPU with the Arctic BioniX P120 fans in Push-Pull config.

I got a TCL TV about 5 months ago that has already failed, I decided to send it back and get a refund and put a bit of extra money in and got this.

So far i am very happy with it and got it brand new for £479

Technically not really tech but I bought it online so..?
Local cycleshop is gone, so I bought a few things..

Bought the stand, not the cycle. I'm a filthy casual who bought a sorta sporty looking one instead of a mountainbike some 12 years ago.

It's tech, for example You can hang the pc on it, and blow it if You don't like to bend knees and back :D
Or it can be headphones stand between the services of bicycle ^^

I don't really feel nostalgic for those, especially for the VHS. The players were a complete mess to maintain, too many moving parts = a lot of things could go wrong.
Audio cassettes and the players on the other hand were not so troublesome in my case, and I loved to record stuff over old ones. The heads were also easily adjustable by a single screw. A lot of pranks and silly moments recorded, as well as many radio shows, 80's and 90's hit singles.

My SDX1E Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x arrived. Must say so far I'm positively surprised by it, especially by the GORGEOUS screen and very good speakers.
Forgot to share a photo of it, well, here it is alongside the Ugreen hub I bought for it:

And yeah, this photo shows how smudge-prone the lid on the Lenovo is.

Nice retro bicycle, but the lock looks horrible on it :shadedshu:

The stand is ideal for regular maintenance :) thoug.

My days for a racingbike are behind me, nowadays whenever I need to, I use my e-bike...:D

But it is waaaaay heavier and a stand like that won't do the trick o_O, so back on my knees it is.

Some people will never know the pain of a VCR eating your favorite VHS
I remember manually having to rewind the tape because VCR wouldnt work

Bought Xeon E3-1231 V3 and low profile heatsink at first but the seller willingly giving the ITX board along because he doesn't want to keep it, all for RM70 or around USD16. Came to his house and have a very long chat, about PC and family and life in general :D I really didn't expect the ITX mobo but it looks like I can do an ITX build with this

I feel your pain. I got my ancient (25 or 30yo) Sony boombox out so the grandkids could listen to the radio while we painted the garage last summer. Everything was all good until the 13yo asked me what the buttons on front were for....ugh right in the heart. I had to show the three of them what a cassette player was... THEN I had to show them what the CD player was, oh for shame.

And I broke down and bought a Powercolor Hellhound 9070xt yesterday. That won't be here until the 10th or maybe the 16th. Yeah.

Wow, I can't recall when was the last time I've seen any from Cryorig

I see enough 'racing' electric cargo and kid hauler bikes blow by me to openly refute this. :p

I have not found one that somewhat light, flexible, and able to wrap my wheel & frame to a bike stand.

Thought I'd better get ready for my 5090 (whenever that is )
LOVE the wireview, I wish my situation would have allowed one, I measured over and over hoping it would but needed a SUPER slim 180 degree adapter for my case, or the side would never go on...

On the 1st we have a holiday called day of work. It's time to finish the computer after 13 months. No Side Glass Panel, no Top Cover, Fans lying around. Changing thermal interface medium again.

In the meantime, those 13 months, Nocuta decided to sell fans with english box writings. Those double fan package are made with slightly different rpm to reduce "side effects". (these were not for sale at the point of removing some not needed parts on my computer.

I want to beat those frequencies. (a word play on the following topic beat frequencies) I expect less beat frequencies. (You may check noctua homepage for the tech article about it)

edit: mechanical frequencies for the fractal design meshify 2 pc case can be for sure heard from those previous arctic p14 case fans on the top. A fan rotates and generates mechanical frequencies in my way of thinking. Some stuff is audible frequencies where the different rpm should hopefully generate different audible frequencies. These audible frequencies should add up or reduce themselves. I believe those effects get worse when you run 3 fans with a fan extension cable with the same pwm signal from the same mainboard fan-pwm header. I talk about a hole frequency band - a frequency spectrum which changes over time. I do not have any other hardware means to slightly reduce the rpm for 9 case fans. I had in the past 9 case fans with different rpm settings. Not every fan has to use 100% pwm value for all the uptime of my box. // The purchase is also my curiosity to learn something and to try something new. To further optimise

In selling ice cubes to an Eskimo level sales practices we can now add Noctua's out of spec B stock.

I will be buying the NH-D15 G2 cause of the noise, and future upgrades to am5.
Interesting topic with this sounds problem :)

I wish my situation would have allowed one,

Yeah, she's a bit tight in there. Nothing wrong with tight though ;)

Got the parts (CPU i7-4770K + RAM)

my AC got installed and cooling is excellent, can sustain upto 52c of temp, anti dust filter.
at 24c with lowest fan speed it was pretty chill so i increased the temp to 28c and it's still decent
and i am not even having my fans turned on, this is quite fascinating considering it is cheaper than competition too
