Take-Two Boss Comments on GTA VI Delay - Anticipates Growth & Record Revenues in FY25

They should price the game at $200, just to prove a point. Why limit yourself to $70, or $80, or $90?

Won't be shocked if it's 100 usd.

Did we play the same GTA IV? The one with cars that drive like bloated bars of soap?

People for some reason blow GTA games way out of proportion they are solid for sure but I doubt more than half even finish the game. I bet most just run around trying to get as many cops after them as possible and wipe them all out with cheats.

That too. The "feces brown" era is one best forgotten....

Not sure the TAA must blur everything era we are in now is any better....

I've never seen anyone finish a GTA game, ever. I also haven't seen anyone play GTA for anything other than fooling around. This says a lot to me. Personally, I'm not much into the "thug life" feeling anyway.

It looked more dreary gray than brown to me.. Regardless, I just couldn't stand it enough to get very far into it. GTAV(and presumably GTAVI) and much more colurful and vibrant.

Turn it off? I refuse to use AA of any kind.

I've finished 3, Vice city, 4... But didn't like San Andreas or 5.

Again they are solid but personally I like RDR series better and there are other open world games from other developers I'd rather play.

I liked 5 but the story felt short, and the lack of DLC really did it in. There was so much of the map that was barely used and teh characters could have done so much more. It was pale compared to IV's characters.

One thing that always annoyed me was the wanted level. Like, you can hide in a bush, and the AI shouldnt know where you are, yet they ALWAYS zero in on you. It's almost impossible to escape unless you go underground. V's wanted system really is busted.

True. Grey, brown, dark bile green. A kaleidoscope of toilet bowl colors.

Aren't there games where you cant turn TAA off unless you enable DLSS/FSR?

Maybe? I don't have any like that. I would send a very carefully and colourfully worded email to any game dev that did so. Luckily, TakeTwo is not guilty of such a brainless thing.

Wait what? Those are single played games, GTA Online and Red Dead Online are seperate games. You can play RDR2 just fine. Had it been a better game if they had releaed DLC every six months?
Both GTA IV and RDR1 saw quality story expanding DLCs, GTA V and RDR2 did not. Would have loved to revisit Mexico in RDR2, even if it followed a separate story.

This is incorrect. You must own GTA V to play GTA online, same for Read Dead Online.

The are "separate" in the launcher, but they are not separate titles.

Wait what? Have you actually play GTAV? Sorry, but that's moose muffins.
Could you point me to those GTA V single player DLCs? Moose Muffins indeed.

I'm honestly content to just replay Sleeping Dogs again, this time in OLED :)

+ costs me nothing
+ looks freaking amazing and runs in high refresh easily
+ scratches that open world itch
+don't have to give any money to shitty companies like this

but to each their own, i prob will play sleeping dogs on launch day of gta6 and post screens of it in what am i playing thread, lulz

Just play your backlist. You are not done with all your games, yes?

I will share ten of the games on mine that I have yet to play substantially (more than 2 hours):

Baldur's Gate 3
Hades 2
Cyberpunk 2077
Disco Elysium
Slay the Princess
Hollywood Animal
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Phantom Brigade
Armored Core VI
Desperados III

In a few weeks, I will be adding Broken Arrow to this list.
I am, currently I am playing Kingdom Come Deliverance II. Lots of great third party games out there, but I am getting tired of not having sequels in reasonable amount of times for stories I enjoy. But from the perspective of series like this or Elder Scrolls as examples, I have been waiting on expansions/sequels since I was still in college or barely out in many cases. Red Dead 2 was 2018, am I not to expect another one before I am in my 40's? Big AAA game developers have gotten lazy and we have enabled it by buying micro transactions to keep their profits high and margins wide.

Maybe I am being spoiled, I don't know... Not expecting a new GTA, RDR, Elder Scrolls, etc every year, heck not even every 2 years. 5 I feel would be reasonable. But over a decade between is getting old.

GTA V's most popular multiplayer aspect is its variety of races, nobody would have ever thought to try that with GTA IV's physics.

And they magically turn in mid air in GTAV, your point is ?, and i seen many of cars in the US to drive like that too over the last 20 years ( typically the older ones )..

As for the races they are my least played haha.

Seriously underrated game. So much fun and great combat. You're inspiring me to launch it up again!

That the driving physics in GTA V are a damn sight faster than GTA IV.

That has nothing to do with the conversation of GTA IV vs V (and no, real cars do not slip and slide like they do in IV. Burnouts =! the type of insanity that GTA IV pulls off).
As for the races they are my least played haha.
Cool.

Save Hades 2, its still in Early Access. I can't for the full version, its been sitting in my Steam Library for months.

Ok. But you can still play RDR2 without owning the online part.

GTA is too life-like for my taste. If I want that, I just go down to a street near me. It's free.

Can you get any older? I'm gonna send you a miracle ear, or a chia pet.

Anyway.. I get a kick out of this, my oldest boy has been watching the new GTA drama unfold, he wants this game bad. He literally yelled when they announced another year lol.

Personally I don't even care, GTA V was already just "okay" for me, and I finished it first time probably in 2017 or 2018. And if they're going to charge 100EUR for it (and concentrate on the multiplayer content), I'll be waiting for sales without any problem. I haven't launched GTA V's multiplayer on PC even a single time :D

I'm fairly certain most of them are playable offline. Let me test that in a little bit and I'll come back..
AFAIK most of the post release updates and DLC focused on Online. There wasn't much if anything for the offline playerbase specifically. I can't remember ever getting tickled by any DLC anyway that added anything to the city or story.

I just tested my install and it's a mixed bag. Some of it works fine offline, some of it doesn't. The online focused stuff clearly doesn't. As far as I can tell the single player missions work fine offline, including the enhanced stuff.

EDIT: I have the Epic version, got it when it was free and have bought a few things for it since. Maybe that makes a difference?

From a quick glance at that article, the lay-offs were for a $50m cost reduction.... LMFAO so these greedy B*****S could have had $22M and kept all staff on but no, $72M in compensation/bonuses between 2 execs after people losing their liveliehood is F'n crazy man
Terrible just awful.

But you will get it still.

I need evidence that it's any good yet and not just pretty graphics. Will not be holding my breath though as GTA5 was pretty shit except for the story and the cars drive like ass and the roads sucked compared to the one before it.
Yea I agree, I thought GTA IV was better overall. Better story, better physics, and I like the gun play a bit better. I liked GTA V, but it really felt much more Arcady than GTA IV did.

The fact the entire GTA series from the beginning to GTA V was made in the same time the wait between V and VI is blowing my mind.

Would of kept RDR2 alive today if they did, but they did not care about it. Even when you had a issue and told them about it they would just say some thing like were sorry your having a issue with GTA HAHA.

They just full of shit in the end and RDR2 was not bringing in the money as GTA so they said fck RDR2 let it die, even if RDR2 is a superior game to GTA.
