Do you have evidence for that? I have not found any 1TB microSD Express cards for sale - at least in Germany.
I mean the A1-rated SanDisk is supposed to not work since the Switch 2 specifies microSD Express only, no microSD without Express (those lack the extra contacts).
This is like an M.2...
The ROG Ally does not support micro SD Express according to the spec sheet and it would be really easy to confirm if it can make use of micro SD Express, since micro SD Express has extra contacts, which you could verify by tearing an Ally apart enough to check for the counterparts in the card...
Yeah it's almost like there's a $50 / €40 per TB price floor that nobody dares go under, makes you wonder (especially since we only now are starting to get down to that level again, that we were already at in 2023)
if this has a good MSRP (think €80 for the 2TB model) this could be a great addition to the market at the low end - especially after the prices rose up from when they hit that level last year

Example: MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi
Why would you run the names of the retailers through Google Translate like that. Do not do it, it only detracts from being able to verify the data and also removes its ability to inform people with access to said retailers and adds nothing.
Now that I think of it, maybe it is significantly more effective on something like a DRAM-less drive with 90%+ used space since that would reduce its internal SLC cache, could be an interesting scenario to try.
Modern SSDs already use a technology called HMB (Host Memory Buffer) that uses system RAM for performance optimization, even aside from any preloading and caching your OS does for you, so paying money for yet another thing that puts RAM between your Operating System and your SSD seems of...
I have a 2600X and 3600 18-20-20 on my Single Rank (2x8 = 16GB) G.Skill 3200Cl16 C-Dies was sketchy at best, on my Dual Rank (2x16 = 32GB) Goodram IRDM 3600 18-22-22 kit with hynix chips, anything 3400 and higher will not boot into windows (but 3600 somehow gets to the bios). 3333 16-18-16 is...
