I have paired 5700x3d with 1080Ti on B550 mobo. It may be or may be not bottlenecking each other but for the games I play, it is sufficient for me. I play factorio a lot so x3d gives huge benefit in UPS. I never felt any urge to upgrade GPU as I am not in AAA market anymore nor I play FPS games...

Bought 8x8GB DDR4 ARES. These are B-die. Was watching this listing for a month when full stock available, then hit the trigger when last kit was available. Couldn't let this go.

Do you get any hardware errors in event log? I had similar issue with my system. Turned out it was the faulty PSU. My system used to hang randomly though, unlike yours.

Totally off-topic but I got 45 UPS on my 5700x3d with 3600 c16 RAM ( Total 8x2GB ). Just in case anyone wants to compare :)

And here I replaced my Ryzen 3600 which I bought in 2019, to 5700x3d and hoping this will last more 3 years along with my 1080Ti hehe.

Atleast curve optimizer in Ryzen Master should be available for x3d as I read somewhere. But that option is also disabled.

Thanks for the tips. I went for curve optimization, -30 and temp. dropped significantly from 80-85c on load to 70c. However I cant use ryzen master, for some reason all options on home screen are greyed out and unchangeable. I already set PBO mode to advanced in bios ( from default auto )...

I have just upgraded to 5700x3d from my old 3600. Just curious about what to do next with this cpu. Let it run stock OR there are possibilities to tune the chip. My aim is to run it less hotter at stock frequency rather than OCing. Any suggestions? p.s. I have paired it with components listed...
