Sennheiser Demos MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 at CES

I had problems with 2 sets of the MTW3, so I'd definitely say hold off until some long-term reviews are out. They sounded great, but the 1st set started crackling and the 2nd stopped charging. Both sets really struggled with connection stability in busy environments. They were fine at home...

Quick Look: TangZu Audio Zetian Wu Planar Magnetic IEMs

Yeah I had a bad case of buyer's remorse there. For the price, these are unbelievable.

Quick Look: TangZu Audio Zetian Wu Planar Magnetic IEMs

Great review - mine arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed. I'm a convert - they're on a different level to SE425 and Westone Mach 20 I've been using for mobile listening.

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update Adds Higher-res Textures, Ray Traced GI, DLSS and FSR 2

Play Baldur's Gate through, but take your time playing Baldur's Gate 2. Writing wise, it's up there with best games I've played.

NVIDIA Project Beyond GTC Keynote Address: Expect the Expected (RTX 4090)

The 16gb 4080 is expensive enough that I'll wait to see what AMD has to offer. I'm on 12gb now and I can't see any point moving to another 12gb card.

MSI Reveals its Official Pricing for its X670 Motherboards and They're Not Affordable

I honestly can't see who they think will pay those prices for a consumer mobo. You don't need a pcie 5 m.2 or 16x for gaming. Pro content creation would take advantage of the faster storage, but you're tied to a 16 core cpu and dual channel memory. The sensible choice for most gamers would be...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12GB and 16GB to Launch Simultaneously

Thanks! I'll probably be upgrading in 2024 anyway, so I could make a saving but I also remember getting stung by the stingy memory on the GTX 780 back in the day...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12GB and 16GB to Launch Simultaneously

In practical terms, is 12gb likely to be a bottleneck at 4k in the next year or so?

Set The Curve & Change the Game CORSAIR Reveals Revolutionary 45in Bendable OLED Gaming Monitor

Yeah it's easy money for the first company to get something like that out at a decent price. I'm using mine for editing more than gaming, so I went with colour accuracy and mini-led with HDR1000. Meant dropping down to 4K 60Hz and losing VRR though.

Intel Xe iGPUs and Arc Graphics Lack DirectX 9 Support, Rely on API Translation to Play Older Games

It seems wildly optimistic for Intel to expect dx9-era game deva to provide any support for hardware that didn't exist at the time. One of the biggest sells of PC gaming is that you can still play your back catalogue on modern hardware... Fortunately there's Proton and dgVoodoo 2.

    What's your backup strategy?

I'm a hobbyist photographer, so I'm a bit paranoid about backups. I use Macrium Reflect to image everything up to 2 external SSDs monthly. I keep 1 at home and 1 at work. I also have an external HDD where I keep a physical copy of the files as an archive (I only add files to it). Oh and a...
