12 gigs of vram is more than enough for 1440p and below. And that isn't going to change anytime soon. These cards are already at the bottom end for 4k which is where you need 16 gigs. There's no future-proofing by having 16 gig of vram with cards in these price ranges.

I have the first 2. The first one was spectacular, though single-core cpu gaming sucked back then. The second was meh. This is one still has complaints about it on the Steam forums and what I've seen I'm not surprised. If it goes to $10 I might pick it up.

Try Ubisoft + for a month if you can get it. You need their launcher anyway and most of their games are on it.

You might want to take it to a shop to see if it's repairable. That's pretty smashed up.

Here's mine with presets and no mods.

A 3050 6gig should work. It's 70 watts and no power connector is needed. Anything 70 watts or lower is fine to run off the pcie slot. Not sure about the psu, you might want to get a better one and keep it for your next build. Make sure you clean the dust out of your cpu cooler also.

I'm now at 1.6 gig of ram usage being signed into Steam, Ubi Connect, and Epic. Launcher bloat seems to be increasing. Steam is the worst since it has the most features while Epic is the least since it's just a storefront. I'm at 8.4 gigs of ram usage just with Windows and launchers.

Best Buy has one for $1000. The rest are $1150

US dollars? That will get you an old 4790 or 7700 or old Xeon cpu at best and not much else. You can get Dell Precision Tower 3640 Core i9-10900K 32GB RAM 512GB NVMe RX 550 4GB with a 1000watt psu for $600 US on Ebay. I got a Dell 3630 back in the spring, which goes for $400 CDN.

I have been playing the game in 4k max settings including path tracing, dlss on performance, and frame gen with my 4070. My framerate doesn't go below 30fps, except some cut scenes, which I skip, or when I take a screenshot. Use dlss performance instead. If I use dlss quality, the framerate can...

I didn't get any light bleed through the table with the path tracing on. Everything is on max settings.

The path tracing in this game is fantastic, without it, it looks average. The characters however are not the greatest looking. Sara's face looks plastic as hell at times.

So it does use PT For GI also? In Cyberpunk, with PT all other RT effects are disabled and PT does everything. Since you have the game now, when using PT, does it disable the other RT effects?
