Latest driver and firmware for ASMedia ASM106x series

Too late to edit my post. I ran some tests with Dell 7010 and HP 6000 on three cards all with firmware 4.27 SD-PEX50063, SD-PEX50064: Ran at Gen2 in in a Gen2 socket in the Dell but at Gen1 in the HP UGT-ST622 Ran at Gen2 in a Gen2 socket on both HP and Dell The HP would not boot up unless the...

Latest driver and firmware for ASMedia ASM106x series

Thanks for the driver! My SD-PEX50063 and an ugt-st622 both got their port multiplexer enabled in windows 11. Previously all 5 disks were listed when booting but only one disk actually showed up. I also did the firmware upgrade.

Msi x299m-a pro and non kaby lake cpus hack possible?

Let me know if this works as I have the same setup. I put my x299m-a pro into an Area-51 R2 case. I have all the alien led lights flashing but cannot run my i9-7900x. My i5-7640x and win11 all work fine but I would like to use my i9. I tried a microcode update long ago on Dell 435mt but the...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

I got the supply back in service but as a 12v GPU power supply. It was not possible for me to repair the defective 3.3 daughterboard. It basically generated 0.3 volts instead of 3.3 I used an LD1117V33 VR to generate 3.3 volts for the control IC. It was not necessary to jumper the IC as the...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

It is and as a result I have to short the pins on the "supervisory IC" to keep the power supply from turning off. If there was an actualy short somewhere it would be a smokin bare board by now.

advice on bridging the crowbar out

I suspect the short, if any, would have to pull a lot more than 18amps (the atx spec for 3.3) to drop the voltage down to 0.3. Just a guess. Nothing is smoking or even warm to the touch.

advice on bridging the crowbar out

Found problem. The 3.3 volt is not being generated by the v3.3 daughter board. Only 0.3 volts are created. The 5v daughterboard works ok in addition to the 12v main. Going to try substituting a 3.3v linear for the daughterboard's 3.3. I tried connecting a 3.3v supply to the v33 pin but it...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

I ordered a test clip with cable and I have several small regulated power supply PCBs. Going to supply the correct voltages to those pins on the chip and see if I can eliminate either the chip or any of the voltages as being bad. When I bridged pins 2 & 3 the supply stayed on and the 12 and 5...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

5 and 6 are transients and go back to 0 with the shutdown. My Fluke meter has a min-max function but I did not see more than 1v on pin 5 while watching it. I need a clip to attach to the IC to hold the leads as I do not have enough hands. There should be a way to have the fluke determine how...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

Yes, they are correct. I spent some time looking for st9x313 pinout and the best I could find was a link that was mislabeled and went to an st9s429 I retook the voltage measurements as I had misnumbered the pins The following is with the supply plugged in and turned on but no connection to the...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

Thank you for posting that reference. l disagree with your observation that anyone would know that pin 2 is ground without RTFM. I assume you know what RTFM is.

advice on bridging the crowbar out

With no diagram or pinout you are just guessing Possibly pin 2 is supposed to see 5v but when it did not "show up" the system was told to shut down. What I was hoping for was someone who had an application diagram of the chip or at least a pinout . This aux supply is for the coprocessors...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

This is the best I can come up with http://www.datasheetcafe.com/st9s313-dag-datasheet-supervisor/ According to that doc, the chip only checks under / over voltage and offers no current protection. The only reference to pins is that the FPO goes high to signal a fault. I bridged only the IC...

advice on bridging the crowbar out

I had LW1600PG power supply go out. Symptom was having to power the motherboard on/off more and more until eventually it no longer stayed powered up., The motherboard worked fine with a small seasonic. The 1600 watt supply capacitors all looked ok and no obvious damage anywhere. Google was...

S9150 flash problem / bios size inconsistency

I moved the video board from 435t motherboard to H81BTC and gpu-z is now reporting sensors reading correctly. The windows 10 driver is much older: 10/10/2018
