I was about to say the same. If you have an actual hot air gun you can do a bit better with that but I've baked a few 8800/9800GT Nvidia cards back in the day that were known for solder issues with a surprisingly high success rate (I actually can't remember when it didn't work).
Back in the day..... (damn, yeah I'm old).... that is exactly how it was. When overclocking my Geforce3 Ti200 after I lapped the cooler and repasted, clocks were bumped using RivaTuner until the card started to show artifacts. There were no on chip temperature sensors. Some enthusiast sites...
Those were in response to reputable clinics that offer the treatment. I can link to clinical studies as well if that's what you want, doesn't take much searching for them. And no where had I argued it was to be used as a generalized health improver; I had thought that we were both in agreement...

UC San Diego Health
University of Michigan Health
Johns Hopkins (they at least offer links to find treatment centers)

If you live anywhere near Ohio I'll take you up on that offer! There's a community out there where that set is actually sought after (I'd use it for my old Atari 2600 and original Nintendo). Also, you didn't say this part but they don't have bulbs in them that go bad. They do have electron...
There used to be a "big" market for aftermarket GPU coolers, is that not the case anymore? Arctic Cooling used to make a myriad of coolers such as the Accelero Xtreme GTX Pro / Accelero S1 / NV Silencer, etc. Have users or builders become that lazy where swapping out OEM cooling with 3rd party...
