Another Radeon HD 4770 Pictured, Tested

I don't like only 8 ROPS ... on even on my 3850 I have 16, why go down.

HIS Radeon HD 4770 Makes Early Appearance

Still I'm waiting for some benchmark... with overclocking of course. I have ASUS 3850 and with TP RBE i've moded BIOS so I have almost the performance of 3870. MSI has an interesting 4830OC card which can be O/C from 575 to 740Mhz stable and some for the mem... can't remeber but like that it...

HIS Radeon HD 4770 Makes Early Appearance

I wonder could it reach performance of 4850 with OC. That 128-bit memory interface is a bottleneck, and GDDR5 is more expensive than GDDR3.

    Cooler Master Real Power 620

Thanks... I was getting a little bit worried. One other thing. I overclock my Intel C2D 7200 CPU from 2.56 to 3.368, and with the old PSU in BIOS I set 1.28v CPUvoltage and it was stable with Orthos tested for a few hours, 3DMark and other games no prob. With my new CM 620 I had to increase...

    Cooler Master Real Power 620

I got Cooler Master Real Power 620w, my old PSU was Codegen 400w dual rail 12v. With old PSU my Asus P5K with PCProbe monitor gave idle: 5v=5.11 3.3v=3.33 12v=12.16, and with Orthos + ATItool 3D cube (to load CPU i graphic card) 5v=5.09, 3.3=3.30, 12v=12.09 With the new CM 620 PCProbe gave...

    Powercolor 3850/4670/4850?

You should definetly go for dualcore CPU since newer games are programed to use more cores so raw Mhz just don't cut it. If you can upgrade AMD then go for Phenom X3 (2.7Ghz of more) as they are not expensive, if you are for Intel then E7200 (2.56Ghz) but with just a bit of voltage up easily...

RivaTuner Version 2.21 Released, Fixes GTA4 Missing Textures

I have ATI 3850 512 mb, @ gb RAM, C2D 7200@3.36Ghz, WinXP, and with AUTO setting the game (1680x1050, Med.Text, High Render...) has missing textures. Cat 8.12 got it to work in 1280x800 but some time they appear. Also I have RT 2.08. Do I have to Enable this thing or are ATI owner unafected by...

Intel Releases Core 2 Duo E7400

    Onboard sound for gaming?

I have exactly the same issue... I have Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun leftover from my previous rig 2 years ago... My mobo is Asus P5K. I'm nt sure my Aureon 5.1 Fun is much better than the integrated audio.

    P5K Q-fan trouble

Guys temps and BIOS settings are not the question... I'm pretty in to hardware. Maybe I should add more details... I have a Pentium E2160 (def. 1.60Ghz) and I have O/C it to 2,66Ghz 1.35V for general use (it goes over 3 Ghz with 1.4V but I don't want to burn it like that 24/7). Anyway, I had the...

    P5K Q-fan trouble

My ASUS P5K board does not change CPU fan speed, although I have Q-fan Enabled. My CPU Cooler is CoolerMaster Vortex TX2, which has 3-pin connector, while motherboard has a 4-pin connector for CPU fan. Is there a way to make Q-fan change CPU fan speed? Whould some kind of a 3-pin to 4-pin...

Going around ATI HD PowerPlay Voltage/Clock

You have to disable PowerPlay for HD3870 / 3850, it is not so easy to do. How to properly set your card up to not use powerplay which causes stuttering and low performance. Go to the directory, (Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\ATI\ACE...
